I agree that inactivity itself can be grounds for suspicion. However, I have just reviewed all players and all players in the game have posted within the last 48 hours. Obviously some more active than others, but far from deadbeats at this point. Dates are as of my own timezone I imagine.

Agreed on this. However, I don't think that's something that we will be able to lean on in Day 1 in this game because I believe people will be more active as it's an official game.

I can kind of see the betiko and Rodion arguments. However, it's has enough WIFOM that it basically just leaves you using your gut either way you decide to lean. So, I can't really see a great case being made. I do like putting pressure on people when nothing is happening though, because I think it reveals things. So, unvote vote betiko

Well honestly I'm not really buying into any of the current cases...I don't really think there's anything to Rodion's questioning of leitz, I don't really find the betiko case that strong and the rodion is basically non-existant. If anything I buy the betiko case more than the others but I still find it fairly weak even for day 1.

Of course it's weak, but so are most cases on day 1. Rodion's asking for a reasoning is... about as non-scummy as things get, though.

Betiko's questions, "would you be ok with lynching the person below you" and "who do you trust" are odd, though. If everyone answered honestly they could be used to figure out scumbuddies or mason/lover partners. But expecting honest answers is foolish in the first place, so what's he after?

Anyway I did not find either question particularly scummy. To me it just seemed like 2 guys trying to get some kind of conversation going which can only be a good thing.

Medefe, I don't think I've ever played before with Leitz, trinicardinal, Swifte and betiko. I assumed they were all first timers or at least really new. Add some other newer players and I thought that by asking my question I had a chance of catching newbie scum on the move so it was worth trying (seemed like a zero risk, low reward move). Unfortunately, it didn't quite work out as Trinicardinal and Strike Wolf quickly gave the "town-looking answers", effectively giving possible newbie mafia players a cop out (all they had to do is give the same answer and not look scummy).

I'm not a big fan of the Betiko case. To me it seems like he saw people jokevoting, then he saw me trying to get serious and thought that the initiative of moving the game forward was indicative of a town-aligned player, thus the "trusting Rodion a little" comment. I find it a legitimate thought process.

So far, I think MOB Deadly has been acting weirdly. I don't know if it's the bias of being suspected by him, but doesn't it seem like he's trying too hard to implicate me somehow? The degree of paranoia present in this post definitely caught my attention: viewtopic.php?p=3444870#p3444870

The logic in this betiko quote was the most strange to me. Asking a question about trust automatically makes Roidon trustworthy? SG7 making a joke about Roidon always seeming to be in the mob earns a vote and distrust? I just didn't follow this at all, and some above have said it could have been a diversion to get attention off of Roidon. It's not a strong case, just seems like the strongest we have to go on so far. This is just my summary of those events, others may of course have interpreted differently.

-yes, it s my first mafia game (played in real life with friends a few times a game called the werewolf in france, that is exactly the same, but obviously with real life friends you know, well there are a few physical tells that you can t find in here...).
I didn t quite figure out if each game you play here are with the same number of scums and if all type of townie/ neutral roles are the same from on mafia game to the next or if the mod chooses each time a new receipe... (if it s the case, he kind of said watching the nightmare before chrismas movie could he... and i haven t seen it!)

-rodion, not voting for jimfin and voting for gh7 was because i thought jimfin's argument was irrelevant but not scummy; and gh7's pop out vote came out of the blue with this strange way to say "confirm" and kind of bandwagonning.

-I have 2 votes counted as well!

Yes it's different playing on the forums because you can't see the people you're playing with. Here, mods use a whole bunch of crazy set ups. Some games are regular C9 games (mafia, cop, doc, & vanilla townies), while others have a whole bunch of crazy roles (like this one). So yeah it has a lot of specialization in it and each game is pretty much unique, only limited by the mod's imagination.

I start getting a few votes and you band wagon with no other reason that to put pressure on me because there is nothing else at the moment. then swifte finds an argument (I explained in the earlier post why my vote was leaning towards SG7 at a particular moment of the game); and you finally find something to hold on to, quite poor in my opinion, to justify your band wagoning. I just think that you seem a bit too convinced by this type of argument and that you want to see me lynched quickly. I find this weird, not a big case either, but you become my number 1 suspect.

At this point in trini's posts I'm getting kind of a neutral vibe from his actions. The last one especially seems a bit like someone who wants to press for the wagon but is hesitant about getting directly involved. Possible scum tactic.

It is quite simple strike... I agree that we probably need to put pressure on someone to get some more info. In this case a bandwagon has formed on betiko so he might be the first person to give us info. But in no way do I want to bring betiko to the point of lynching without some sort of tangible evidence that he is scum... there has been no tangible evidence for anyone so far... just some vague suspicions.

I just want to lynch some scum... Its Day 1 so extremely hard to find scum. So yes, if it would mean that pressure would give information I don't mind applying the pressure. I DO NOT want to bring a possible townie to a point where mafia could just hammer home the kill. We have no idea who has what role in this game and in my limited experience so far.. applying some pressure has worked... i have also seem power roles get killed this way so I am cautious.
