Camping in Africa (pictures now included!)

Postby lusi on Thu Apr 12, 2007 11:08 am

Thought I would share a bit of Africa with you. This was our Easter weekend in the bush!

Some are still a bit big - sorry!

The road to the bush (5 hours!)

Our 5* accommodation!

The river

A fish I caught (Barbel) - the marks on in it are caused by presumably a crocodile!

The tiny spot in the middle of the pic is a hippopotamus

At the end of a hard day fishing - back to camp

Oh and before I forget..................... this is me!!

Didn't the name change from Zaire to Democratic Republic of Congo?

Anyway, the fishing and camping looks awesome. :D

Believe what you will!!

Yes Zaire changed its name to DRC but I actually live in Zambia just below DRC.

Yes we do eat the fish but it is not the better ones - barbel are quite oily fish and very sandy as they live at the bottom of the river.

And yes HJ that is the best part of the trip - heading home in the sunset!

There is no picture of me coz I was the one with the camera fortunately!!
