As he progresses toward a score of 1 things will get harder and harder for simtom. He will have to lose to players with lower and lower scores in order to lose any points.
Assuming simtom loses the game (a very safe assumption by the way since he seems to deadbeat all his games) he has to lose to someone with a low enough score in order lose a single point.
His current score is 22.
If he loses the game his point loss is calculated as follows:
(22 / n) * 20, where n is the winner's score
Assuming rounding, in order to lose a single point he must lose 0.5 points or greater before rounding.
(22 / n) * 20 >= 0.5
So, n <= 880. In other words, unless simtom loses to a player with a score of less than or equal to 880 he will not lose a single point.
For example, in this
game he lost to a player having a score of 1046 and so he lost 0 points.
2007-04-10 16:21:00 - Dr. Jim won the game
2007-04-10 16:21:00 - luapy loses 24 points
2007-04-10 16:21:00 - tahitiwahini loses 30 points
2007-04-10 16:21:00 - simtom loses 0 points
2007-04-10 16:21:00 - Dr. Jim gains 54 points
Dr. Jim's score was 1046 before the game.
(22 / 1046) * 20 = 0.4 which is rounded to 0.
So, at his current score if simtom joins a game where the lowest player has a score of greater than 880 he is just wasting his time. He can't lose any points by deadbeating that game. The only thing he would accomplish is to irritate the other players by deadbeating. He will not lose any points in such a game.
Basically, simtom should put everyone on the scoreboard with a score of above 880 on his ignore-list. As his score drops further he will have to put more and more players on his ignore-list.
Some fun, huh?
