The New Powerful Server is having a bad day. When I clicked START TURN it responded so slow I knew I might be in trouble, which proved to be right. I lost count of the crashes trying to make some moves and when it finally came up again, said there was 1:30 minutes left so I clicked end fortifications. Instead of ending my turn it ate my card leaving me high and dry... ran out of time sez the game log. So it goes.

I recommend waiting to play til later.

I clicked to begin turn and it said the page couldn't load. I tried again throughout the hour in case it thought I had actually begun my turn but it could still never load the page.

Of course after one hour it said that I had run out of time and now CC is working fine again.

It was horrible earlier, but seems to be back to normal now.

Any explanation for the slow down?

Sorry about the slowdown today.

I asked a server technician at the hosting company to set something called a 'memory cache daemon' to load automatically whenever the server reboots.

To test his work he stopped and started the memory cache a few times, which caused some chaos.

It was worth it though, because now if the server needs to be rebooted when I'm away for a couple days, the website will function.

Ok Lack we blame the technician, it is not your fault.

I thought it was an attack or something, but I gues that CC runs on a reliable server :D

Is that sorta like what daemon tools does.

With mounting an artificial CD drive or totally different?

Something totally different.
In UNIX-speak, a daemon is a type of process.

As I said a kind of automated lack, when he is not there, nothing more

Nice if there is a ghoost (deamon) or something that does the job if the bos is enjoying his weekend. Nothing wrong with it, good point lack, I did the same if it was my website.

And sure, it is a kind of process.

greetings from Bula
