There's a bunch of mystery around the platypus. Like, there's no decided word for the plural of platypus. Also, IS IT A MAMMAL? It lays eggs, right? RIGHT?

It looks somewhat like a porcupine mixed with an anteater.

mammals can lay eggs. I think there is a third. Another interesting playpus fact: they do not have nipples. they secrete milk trough slits in the female's chest.

HEY :x!

Badgers are kind of interesting!

I think, if raised from infancy, that these could be some pretty awesome pets.

This animal is very interesting. It is friendly and can fly without wings! It kind of looks like a buffalo with a platypus-like tail and it has six legs like an insect! It is also about the size of an elephant! Most fascinating!

Badgers rock! They have been documented to run off cougars and bears - they do NOT back down. Here, a group of Badgers is called a Clan...very appropos for this site....lol.

Where we hunt (Hells Canyon - godsforsaken wasteland), there are extensive badger warrens all over the place; luckily, they are nocturnal so we dont see them, but it always creeps me out to be crawling up some impossible hill and have to maneuver over this 12" wide dark hole tunneling into the earth....expect some nightmare to pop out....lol. Rattlers I can handle....badgers would probly lead to a stroke

Either your badgers are a lot worse than those in CA (could well be) or you are hearing stories. Our dog used to get into it with them all the time. My dad would have to go out there with a shovel, they are viscious, but not anything a human cannot confront. My understanding is bears do because they just don't want to bother. Also, we have tools.

sigh

I am talking about struggling up a 45 degree hill that is primarily rock; when your face is 12 inches from their hole, and should one pop out to defend said home, I think it would be scary.

My 12 gauge does, however, work better than a shovel, should you get the chance to deploy it......

Anyway........

Bigfoot, are they real? Are they ALL fakes? Are every ancient region on earth all full of shit with their stories of similar beings? We ARE that bad at hide and seek, a lot of animals/insects are discovered regularly..Id say they make an interesting animal

The rare five-legged horse is incredibly interesting for few people...I myself, am not a big fan.
