I already gave it? However I was just about the last one to put a vote on you. Many before me voted for Sax.

Sorry, that was worded poorly. I know you were about the last to put a vote on, however, you were the only one to vote after the new information came out. It appears to me you were just jumping on the bandwagon to get someone lynched.

By defense, I meant "why we shouldn't lynch you".

It's just the way I play mafia. If we have a mislynch, I don't mind using it, which is what I was doing. Of course, I missed that piece of vital information a mere few posts above me.

As far as why you should keep me, I'll chalk it up to a better late-game role.

I will admit to slight skimming. In full honesty, I read 95% of this thread fully and completely. I was probably just sick of reading more than 10 straight pages at once.

That's why you break it down into 3 page sections. Really it's best to read through the entire thread regardless before making the post. Just makes you look foolish when you don't. Honestly it doesn't really sound like you cared too much who the bandwagon was on.

I didn't want to be FOSed because of my lack of activity. I had said I was back, and I thought that if I said nothing I'd get a bigger finger.

Of course, it would have been fine had I not screwed up and missed the most important post.

So is Gilligan going to be the focus of day 2 because of his SaxLad actions?

=====

Also, I feel like we've still a few players who aren't posting very much, so much that I just went to the first page to check again who all was playing.

If you would like me to prod anyone, I will do so. Activity is a little low, but given that the scene was posted over the weekend, I'll give it a few more days to pick up before I start mass prodding and/or setting deadlines.

No hig cases yet?

Let's see if I can come up with something.
last phase I baited the joke voters into answering why they weren't involved in anything at the time after their jokes, fir responded with this

Fircoal wrote:

in the meantime as promised for the other current votes of note (not counting comm because the vote count doesn't seem to be accurate, or it wasn't counted because it wasn't bolded.)

So, are you guys sticking with this? Would you like us to follow you on these cases?
Or are you just fence sitting until someone else does all the work?
I'll Unvote vote tal, since of the three he's the most active (sort of.)

Honestly looking at my other choices which more or less seem to be the Saxlad wagon which seems like a superfluous wagon made up from thin air I don't really see the problem. My joke vote has as much of an argument as there is against Sax but that doesn't mean tons of people will vote for it.

Besides regarding my play-style I'm not high voter type. There are many games were I was very active in discussion but didn't vote until the end.

He claims the sax case is nothing, and there is no reason to get involved.

the following post made by fir one page later
Fircoal wrote:
strike wolf wrote:Id like to know too...though at this rate I'm wondering if we'll get anything better than a no lynch.

Yea... Honestly at this point Sax needs to get in here and claim. Then at least we might be able to get a lynch.

He immediately goes from "Thin air case" to "Claim or be lynched". An odd turn around

the next and last post by fircoal shows him once again not directly involved as per his "non-voter" play, but insinuating the need to speedlynch gilligan.

Fircoal wrote:

Not biting on the chu case. My opinions on sax moved pretty much the same way (one must take into account the length of his absence), and the Gilligan post is sarcastic at best seeing as speedlynching Gilligan wasn't going to happen.

I don't see the evidence for it being scummy. For example, with TSL, he decided not to personally vote and join that bandwagon, but that doesn't mean he failed to recognize that other people were getting on it.

Okay, so sometimes I find it is helpful to map out a player's votes, include their initial joke votes, since voting patterns can sometimes shed light on who they vote on, or perhaps who they avoid putting a vote on. I think I've got all the votes cast up to this post:

show

Highlights over the course of the game so far:
  • Fircoal has received 3 player votes.
  • Gilligan has received 4 player votes.
  • TheSaxlad has received 9 player votes.
  • Strike Wolf is the most prolific voter, with the most vote changing.

I'm going to take a closer look at voting patterns.

An odd turn around? You do realize we were a couple days away from the end of the day with only one weak lead. Honestly at that point it didn't really matter what the case was for it just mattered that we got some information out of it. We all know I stress the need to lynch and this is no different. No I don't think Sax's case was a good case but I do believe that we needed a lynch, or really at that point something from Sax. Just getting nothing would be a waste even more of what was already a big waste.
