good role ideas? maybe too imbalanced? (note: some of them may already be in play, this is just copy-and-pasted from a word file)

You are the police commissioner. You know the identity of the other detectives and the undercover cop, and you can communicate with them via PM. You can also perform investigations.

You are a detective. You can communicate with the head detective about his investigations.

You are an undercover cop. You are pro-town, but the Mafia know it. You know all their identities.

You are the village doctor. You can schedule an appointment with a villager each night, thus protecting them from mafia harm.

You are the mafia's lawyer. Like the police detectives, you can investigate one townie a day.

I'm thinking of yet another non-vanilla mafia game, but with heavier crackdown on spam. There will be vanilla mafia roles.

First off, never have a pro town role that knows who the mafia are at the start of the game. All of the other roles are already used, just worded differently.

why not? there's always impersonation, and role claiming will just get him whacked.
