Can somebody please explain to me what a roleblocker is/what roleblocking does? Also what does "FOS" stand for please?

weren't you a role blocker in Briarsburg?

A roleblocker stops a character from performing their action that night. I'm not sure what to make of the character claim itself as I am still learning the series (halfway through episode 5 before I had to log off for a while). She seems to be in most episodes but she doesn't seem to play much of a part in any of them from what I can tell. Claiming town roleblocker though could be a good cover for the mafia role blocker which as I believe I said earlier seems to exist based on flavor.

FOS also stands for finger of suspicion, it is used as an alternative to voting but instead to highlight that someone has their eye on the other.

daze, talapus, chapcrap, bgthebrain, haggis, bleed, strikewolf, /, squirrel, jonty

At least one on this list is scum, I know that for fact, and where their leader is, the goonies follow.

I will vote talapus, Shortly after his vote a couple of rookies followed, and for questionable logic. Safari would have been on our side for quite some time to come, as it is untrue that there are actually 5 or 6 scum and a SK. If there are, I may as well resign right now as there is no way the town can win. It is far more likely that safari's role counted all Lanister allied characters for his count, even though not all are scum. Flavor tells us that the Queen blocked the Hound, likely showing they are not allied, though it may point to busdriver shenanigans.

Anyways. Talapus. Posting just enough to remain considered active, lots of the rookies follow his lead. He is a good player, he wouldn't make any slipups D1, nor is anyone else likely to. This is not a case based on primarily on his actions, but the actions of others.

I have 2 points to make:
1. FOS edoc for skimming tal is dead (I know strike said it first but I didn't realise until I double checked).
2.The queen may just be a roleblocker and may have just blocked a random person to see if they are mafia or not

BTW: Would the hound be town, mafia or other aligned?

HAH!

Well, as embarrassing as it is that I just made a case on a dead guy, you are screwed jonty. You know the queen is a roleblocker. I know she is one because she targeted me last night. You know the queens role, the queen is scum, you are scum. Case closed, hang him.

Unvote Vote jonty

Well the case isn't closed :D as I claim Sansa, the Future Queen and I'm a town roleblocker and I have no allegiances or knowldege of Jofferey - definitley mafia ( they fancy each other in the books/TV series); and before people start claiming that I have been pretending to have no knowledge of flavour and come out with this I only know 'cos someone at my school has read them (the books) and wouldn't shut up about them and the only bit I remember is the really soppy part.

I don't buy this for one minute-

1) Rule 18 states "Mafia have fakeclaims. Repeat, mafia have fakeclaims. This is a themed game but I am willing to not include a few characters all in order so that the game works. I'm afraid you''ll have to try and win this the traditional way."
2) Your language suggests that you are using Sansa as a fake claim that Iliad has given you, "I claim" rather than "I am"
3) Sansa does not fit the role of a roleblocker as per the theme, she is too young to be a hooker, the Queen does
4) This whole edocsil business really seems like you have walked yourself into a trap here.

However, I too would like a follow up when you're online edocsil to rodion's post as I feel I need to know more before I vote for jonty, who looks like a good target in my eyes for a lynch

Did you get a PM stating you were roleblocked by the queen?

I am the Hound and I am town. I was told I was roleblocked and the scene clearly shows my attempted night action blocked by the Queen, if by proxy.

Alright. You either tried to protect Naxus or kill Talapus but were roleblocked. That means Iliad lets players know when they are roleblocked. I think we now have to hear from Chapcrap to see if he confirms having been roleblocked or not.

I guess since we're all claiming I feel some sort of unprovoked pressure to claim:

Whoa! I go to work for a little bit and you guys explode all over the place with posts.

After reading: Edoc, what are you doing blaming a dead guy? Come on!!

Squirrel: I'm not as good with the flavor, why does Cersei being a slut make her a roleblocker?

Victor: Why on earth are you just claiming all of a sudden for no reason? That seems kind of suspicious to me.

As far as jonty's claim, I was not role blocked last night, so I'm thinking he's Cersei (or perhaps another scum trying to throw us off of Cersei's trail?). I don't know, it seem kinda fishy. He claimed really fast and it just kind of sounded made up. I do buy that there is a town role blocker. If the mafia have one, the town probably do to.

1. Very nice scene Illiad, enjoyed reading it. =D>

2. Anyone else find it kind of funny that naxus is NK'd right after insisting that we're all paranoid?

3. Victor, is that a joke claim or what?

4. vote jonty Either this is some highly elaborate rouse, or he made a major slipup. I'm favoring the second option atm. I mean "I think the queen is a roleblocker". "No wait, I'm a roleblocker" ...

Roleblockers are sometimes called hookers, they sleep with someone in the night phase thus preventing them from acheiving their night action

chapcrap wrote:Victor: Why on earth are you just claiming all of a sudden for no reason? That seems kind of suspicious to me.

This looks to me like a joke, although not a particularly funny one.

With that in mind, it seems pretty obvious - vote jonty

I wasn't joking!

I got the impression from my role PM that I was a hated/disliked townie, or something; I guessed there would be something in the flavor of your role PMs that would make me out to be a bad guy, but nothing was brought up Day 1, and no one seems to know anything about it, now that I've claimed.

I'm apparently some smug, well-dressed guy that's kind of arrogant. I thought perhaps I might be a miller without knowing it.

Ok... but why have you decided to claim at this particular juncture, no one was pressurising you - I don't see the relevance at all.

They way that it is looking is that we have found Cersei (Jonty), but the way that Sully is playing and coming out of no where like that I would have to believe that he is also scum just trying to protect the queens ass and move votes off of her and on to him.. FOS Sully and will wait to here Jonty's arguement
