Maps Played Statistic

Concise description:

A continuously updated list of maps played (or games on maps) by our members.

Specifics/Details:

Place in general discussion (as perhaps a sticky) a list of the number of games on each map. This should be continuously updated, although not on a daily basis. I believe qwert tried this already.

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:

It would be interesting.

This would indeed be interesting, but I'm betting one of our tech minded people could write this as an add-on or modify an existing script to display this info without much work at all.

So this suggestion is about showing the most played maps and the less played maps, am I right?
Might be possible to intergrate it with map rank.

Hmm, this might be something that might not easily be solved. But on the other hand, once all the data of previous games is inserted into this option, adding new games isn't that much work. Or would is always slow the server down when looking into it?

If it would slow things down to do all the maps and all the games in one complete scan, how about breaking the scan down into parts, alphabetically or chronologically? E..g. .you see how many times all the maps beginning with A have been played, take a break, do B, a break etc. , or-you do all the games played in June 2011, break then May 2011, break etc. Given what I understand of the archiving system it might be best chronologically as maps are archived. with a running total.

ideally, although the first scan would slow the server down, if every scan after that only did games that ended after the previous scan then the impact would be minimal.

MapBoard--------mine sugestion who are sumbited, even lack posted positive.Unfortunatly i dont have belive that these will be implemented,because 1 year pass,and nothing hepend. If Mibi watch these forum,he can easy, take all great sugestion and implemented fast, and that why these risk site can one day be better then CC. Fast implementation of good sugestion,can be key for success.
