Welcome to what will be my 7th tournament! In this tournament, I will only allow Premium members to join. I will accept 18 players, and a few reserves. All games shall be played on the Random Map, and will be Sequential, Automatic, Chained, Sunny, and Nuclear. Also, there will be no speed games or freestyle. Here's how the tourney shall work:
Round 1: Using random.org, I shall split the 18 players into 3 groups of 6. Within each group, each player shall play every other player (simultaneously). This means that you will be getting invited to 5 games at once. Based on total amount of wins, and head-to-head records for tie-breakers, the players will then be ranked 1st-6th. 4th, 5th, and 6th place shall be immediately eliminated, 3rd place shall advance to round 2, and 1st and 2nd place will advance directly to round 3.
*In the unlikely event that three or more players have tied, and there is no way to determine which player should be ranked higher based on head-to-head records, there shall be an extra game played, with the same settings (except with escalating spoils) with that amount of players. (Poorly worded? Let me know if this confuses you.)
Round 2: The three players who placed third in each group shall play a Standard game between the three of them. The game shall have the same settings as before, but with escalating spoils. Also, the game will be played on Doodle Earth. The winner of this game shall advance to Round 3, while the other 2 shall be eliminated.
Round 3: With 7 players remaining, we shall have another round robbin. Every remaining player will play every other remaining player, with the exact same settings as in Round 1. (You'll play 6 games at once). The top two players from this round robbin will then advance to Round 4. The tiebreaking scenario shall be the same as before.
Round 4: With the final 2 players, a best of 5 series shall be played. I will send out the 5 games simultaneously.
