"The Rock": Alcatraz Island
Now, keep in mind: Alcatraz is more than just a +1 bonus to all your secured regions...
Sources
I used the pamphlet Discover Alcatraz: Escapes, A Tour of the Attempts I received at Alcatraz as my source, though I did not plagiarize. I also used my general history knowledge from school.
Very cool...I particularly like the Scrabble one. I'm not sure why I didn't join that one now that I think about it lolDukasaur wrote:A purely gratuitous list of my tournaments:
My FIRST tournament: Dukasaur's Knucklehead Tournament
My SECOND tournament: Intensities in Ten Cities!
My THIRD tournament: DK's 3-3-3
My FOURTH tournament: DK's CC Scrabble
My FIFTH tournament: A Fifth of Dukasaur
My SIXTH tournament: DK's koontz-style tourney
My SEVENTH tournament: Jules Verne Contest (rescued from its original creator DJENRE)

Now that's what I call announcing the results with a bit of flair!Victor Sullivan wrote:Ladies and gentlemen, tournament players of all ages, the esteemed judge, Victor Sullivan, is here to deliver you the results of this phase's flavor task.
All who participated will receive at least 1 point, so kudos to the lot of you for taking the time to post your pictures and captions.

According to the original rules the deadline would therefore have been Wednesday June 1st 2:08 pm. Until now we have been accepting late submissions, because I thought it would encourage more people to participate. However, this doesn't seem to be the case. Instead of more people participating in C&F we have less. I think what has happened is that by being lax with the time limits we have encouraged people to procrastinate with the end result that eventually they never do get around to doing the task at all. I think the whole policy of allowing late submissions was a big error in judgement on my part.by Dukasaur on Sun May 29, 2011 2:08 pm

GregDavidson had an absolutely amazing round in San Francisco, winning three of his four games and coming second in the only one he didn't win. Altogether he raked in 24 of the maximum possible 28 points, and by doing so he has pulled into the lead overall! Congratulations Greg!Dukasaur wrote: GregDavidson 37

There are still three games in progress. As before, those people whose scores might still go up are highlighted in red.
Okay, we have our answer. WorldCup4James has been eliminated in Game 9148056, which means Shai will have at least one more point this round and is guaranteed a trip to Cairns!Dukasaur wrote:The people with 17 points will have to fight over it in a tiebreaker game. At present, I don't know if it will be a 3-player or 4-player tiebreaker. Mekii, shakeycat, and wolfpack0530 have completed all their games and can get no more that 17 points now, but Shai who also has 17 is still in an active game and could get more. For those who are wondering, Game 9148056 is the one to watch.
