The towers at least should be straight.

Yes, I would be much happier with it if all the shapes were oriented in the same direction-- North.natty_dread wrote:I'm sorry, but that great wall just doesn't look right (and I'm not just saying this to get you use my version again)... it's too stylized to fit the rest of the map.

1 - That is one of the things I have to remember how I did them, since I lost the original in my house fire.Victor Sullivan wrote:First off, the Great Wall is much, much better. I still have a few suggestions:

- Okay, I think I figured out what I think needs top be done with the arrows (thanks to a Fractured America game I'm in): I think you need to make them block arrows with black outlines (a la Fractured America). I think they would look exceedingly better that way.
- The Great Wall is certainly better, but I think to make it stand out more and follow the pattern of the other impassables, I think it could benefit from some black outlining as well.
- Thirdly, I thought of an idea for the left side of the legend ("IMPASSABLES" and everything below it): Make a visual legend. You know, like, "IMPASSABLES:" and then the pictures of the impassables, and have a legend for the arrows, like, *Red Arrow Picture* "Indicates a path of assault" and *Green (or whatever color) Arrow Picture* "Indicates a path of bombardment".
How's this?natty_dread wrote:Wall looks a lot better, but you could increase the shading on it somewhat. Like, more contrast between the light/dark sides.

You say each free city Hong Kong, Macao, Beijing, Shanghai, Taiwan, and Chongoing Autodeploys +2
But on the map "Taiwan" is called "Taipei"
Also when you say Fujian and Taipei can bombard each other, you put it under the name "Taipei"
Is this a mistake?
Old man you need some glasses, they look fine to me (hmmm ... maybe I need NEW glasses).Victor Sullivan wrote:Good spot, Boler!
Also, I like the arrows, but they're awfully blurry. Could you clean them up?

Perhaps, the cartoony drawing of the walls, mountains and wall seem to be a common theme. Perhaps something similar for the cities will work.isaiah40 wrote:Hmmmm ... just a thought, maybe I can do like a city skyline view that is crumbling, falling apart due to the war. It might work and fit in with the theme as well. Any thoughts?

Maybe. I'm trying to stay at least somewhat true to Fractured America in style and theme ( thought the style is slightly different). So I'm thinking the stars will probably stay.gimil wrote:I definitely believe they are better, although perhaps a little bit darker. I am still not sure stars are the best approach, but that might just be my personal taste.
Fair enough, Except the stars I personally don't see any major concerns at this point. It is looking good. I may come back and nitpick this maps little details later, but for now it is pretty good.isaiah40 wrote:Maybe.
