Find Tournament in Game finder [WTF!]

Am I the only guy who loves this update??? Holy crap!

I don't know what's complained about, that stupid scroll menu was a pain in the ass (and us iPhone users aren't allowed to type in the first few letters) so it wasFOREVER to scroll, and my tournaments started with a "B"!!! If it goes back I will never name a tournament with anything that starts with anything after B, bcuz I'd be wasting WAY to much time scrolling the stupid thing.

You're right, the scroll menu was a major pain, which is why it was suggested to have one scroll menu for completed tournaments, and another one for currently active tournaments, which would be a much shorter list.

This "fix" has replaced a Major Pain with a Colonel Pain.

I still don't like the option of having any drop-downs at all tho, because with the amount of options still to go it makes it a real pain for page loading. I know how much it's irritated me before when needing to map rank from game finder and how long it took to load the page, so I really wouldn't want to go back to that.

As an aside, I really like the Game Label option a lot. It makes it so easy to search for your specific team

The sarcasm wasn't required. When I posted on these matters in the Tools & Enhancements forum, I did give more meaningful information. This being the General forum though, I was more general here and basically just engaging in chit-chat.

But if you want more informative feedback here it is: The universe is a perverse place. When I first started having problems with Tour Stats etc, I thought it might be because my version of Firefox was getting old and not running the latest updates etc., etc. So I upgraded from FF3 to FF4. The next day you made that post that the fixes would would with FF3 and FF5 but not FF4. Like I said, the universe is a perverse place.

Anyway, I was busy and didn't do anything else about it for a few days, but at the next opportunity I upgraded from FF4 to FF5. Well, maybe the fixes work in FF5 but they didn't for me. In fact, I couldn't get Greasemonkey working at all, not just the CC tools in question. So I gave up, deleted FF5 and went back to FF3. Everything worked fine. But now they've gone and changed the Game Finder page again <sigh> and now once again neither Tour Stats nor Saved Searches works for me.

So I don't know now whether to complain again in the threads for the individual tools or to just wait.

well these new fix give you anoter new step to move,to come to tournament what you want.
Here what we have now-
step 1-press game finder
step 2-press find tournament
step 3-write tournament name in new box
step 4- you are bring back to tournament game finder
step 5-press submit
step 6- game are shown

Well i have two tournament to finish and i realy dont want to every time doing gymnastic with these stupid update, like maps ,its time to quit with tournaments.

After updating 75% of my tourneys this weekend I have become used to the new system--it is not that bad at all. The old way was simpler and qwerts idea probably even simpler, but ultimately it is not a real hard ship at all.

It's more of a nuisance than a hardship for most tasks, but that's not the point. A change is supposed to make things better, not worse, even if it is only slightly worse.

this update is an improvement...now u can look in the games in the tournament and press the back button and be back on the same page with all the tournament games....
before u had to go to the drop down again after u went into a specific game....much more work...

I've found my workaround: I keep an "App Tab" on FF4 for all tournaments with myself as the TO. So, I'm done complaining for now.

The game finder is now automatically pre-loaded with active tournaments for TOs for quick lookups.

We are still investigating other methods to improve the feature.

so far i like what i see

Now the tourneys I am running are in a drop down box when I go to game finder--that makes it just as easy as before if not easier in respect to running my own tourneys. The rest is no problem because most of the time I am not checking games within another tourney--more likely clicking on the link from the game itself and going to the thread.

I am still good with the changes but now even better with these changes
