CClub Game Scoring System Question

Postby telecom1776 on Mon Apr 02, 2007 6:05 am

I've looked all over the website here and cannot find how they come up with the scoring system. I've been in games almost all the variants, team play, singles, assassin, terminator, standard, 4-6 players, etc and I see losers getting the same point loss sometime, variety of point loss, winners getting a few points in some games and close to 100 points in others.

So how does CClub point scoring system work and is the calculation table somewhere on the website here?

Thanks for any good answers.

Conquer Club players are initially given a score of 1000. At the end of each game, the winner takes points away from each loser. The points to be awarded is calculated as (loser's score / winner's score) * 20, up to a maximum of 100 points from each opponent.

Slight differences in when this is calculated between the games:
In terminator games, calculated when you terminate someone, others when the game is over.

How hard did you look? There is a section of the Instroocshuns .. err, Instructions called Score and Ranking as well as a question in the FAQ about it.

Very true, but in some games I've noticed the winner gets say 122 points and those who lost have different loss values that total up to 122.

Player 1 might lose say 38
Player 2 might lose 41
Player 3 might lose 43

Player 4 wins and gets 122

So, how does CClub determine these variables as the above example?

Cos they all started with different points!
Although I must say in your example it would be a Private or Sergeant beating 3 Colonels!

Maybe an example will help?

Four players play a game. Before the game their scores are as follows:

Player 1 : 1900 points
Player 2 : 2050
Player 3 : 2150
Player 4 : 1000

Player 4 wins the game, so that means the other players lost. Let's calculate how many points they will lose:

Player 1 loses (1900 / 1000) * 20 = 38 points.
Player 2 loses (2050 / 1000) * 20 = 41.
Player 3 loses (2150 / 1000) * 20 = 43.

Since the winning player receives all the points the losers lost:

Player 4 wins 38 + 41 + 43 = 122 points.

After the game their scores are:

Player 1 : 1900 - 38 = 1862 points.
Player 2 : 2050 - 41 = 2009.
Player 3 : 2150 - 43 = 2107.
Player 4 : 1000 + 122 = 1122.

Make sense now?

Makes sense now, yes. I never knew they took your current score to come up with a calculation.

So the higher your rating, the more you have to lose in number of points in a game.

how does it work for team games? Do you add up the score of all the losers and then all the winners and then use the formula?

say it was triples and team 2 won the formula would be

(player 1+player2+player3)/(player4+player5+player6)*20. get it

the team's points are added together and then you follow the same process as outlined above for a standard game.

Example of a 6-player doubles game:

Team 1:
Player 1 1100
Player 2 1200

Team 2:
Player 3 1300
Player 4 1400

Team 3:
Player 5 1500
Player 6 1600

Team 3 (players 5 and 6) win the game, then each member of

Team 1 loses (1100 + 1200) / (1500 + 1600) * 20 = 15 points.
Team 2 loses (1300 + 1400) / (1500 + 1600) * 20 = 17 points.
Team 3 wins 15 + 17 = 32 points.
