I'm not going to say that it's impossible for a newb to be scum or the opposite, but when the concept enters the picture at all it completely clouds the discussion and either causes the argument to be dropped or the fact itself is used as an excuse. I don't think that it's really worth following at this point, but as it stands, I don't really see a case for shield. Especially not when Nag makes a joke vote and then argues a case of votehopping.

Here's the problem with votehopping. If we were in the joke vote stage, vote hopping is probably ok. But since you seem to have firmly established that we are out of the joke vote stage through your accusation of nagerous, changing your vote excessively is seen as scummy because it looks like you're trying to push for a lynch while staying under the radar. When changing votes, it's necessary to provide some sort of reason, and I really think this voting of nagerous is sort of ridiculous. Correct me if I'm wrong but he wasn't the one who came dangerously close to hammering. And I still think that some players have acted more scummy than that one little vote. Nag might have skimmed the thread and didn't realize that shaggy was already under pressure, but he wasn't the one who almost hammered him.

Trust me, even if it's well intentioned, it can screw the town ( personal experienced...I got 2 town power roles to claim cause I was way agressive in a past game.. )

Perhaps this is the loose link. I am assuming the Mafia cannot talk during the day by PM, so it would be a good chance for them to tell one of their own to back off a bit. Im going to Metagame here, but he played exactly the same way in TeamCC Mafia and turned out to be Mafia Godfather...

this is a completely joking vote after the joke-vote stage is over. It may be a scum tactic in trying to prolong the joke vote stage and keeping town from making a decisive lynch. And plus it's just a distraction. I am going to UNvote Vote nagerous until he explains why he joke voted after the joke vote stage was completely over with.

It was a single vote, albeit totally random. Your play is starting to tork me off. I've given you plenty of advice to get you started. My final piece of advice is to read old mafia threads and figure out how people play. Replays are a fantastic tool to learn from. You've gotten a ton of advice. The kid gloves are off now. If you look any more scummy to me I'm not going to hold back. I feel that, for the most part, distracting people with random joke votes or spam doesn't really work all to well. All it does is waste the time of the people who are posting and a fraction of that time for the people who are reading. If it's really bad spam then modkill/replace that player and move on. See this is my problem i have with mafia games. As a newbie i say comments cause you all want me to talk. then you throw me under the bus. that's just how i feel. Sorry if that is perceived as scummy.

It's a bus made out of foam. If it runs you over you can get up, figure out what you did wrong, and join another game. It isn't just newbs this happens to. You need to figure out how to respond. Part of that is knowing what you should avoid saying.

I know I may be holding a grudge (from the last two games I've seen shield f*ck up), but I think he's stretching out this noobiness thing too far. I understand that everyone needs an opportunity to learn, and I'm still learning myself, but it seems that shield doesn't even understand how the game works.

Hey guys! Well I just read through the whole thread and I'd like to make a couple of comments. I'll probably expand on them later considering I spent an hour reading and wanna balance out my time more with other stuffs I gotta do. I mainly wanted to finish reading and give some thoughts so you could all have something to go off of.

First off seeing how Shield is posting in this game and his actions in other actions, I'm suspicious that Edoc is right on him. With NES you could see he was trying to play he just was VERY VERY VERY bad at it. Add another very please. He messed up over and over again and to me he seemed very genuine. Just the way Shield does, does not. I'm not even sure if Shield even cares what role he is. I'd personally say to say away from him as it might be a TRAP!

After reading I think I have to FOS, the Nag wagon, as just posting a joke like that doesn't seem to harm the game much at all, especially since nothing was happening.

Target seems much like a noob and considering what I've seen of him on the forum, this doesn't look out of place for him. I don't think there's enough to call him scum.

While Streaker usually seems to be opportunistic, it seems in this game he's jumping on anything and everything. Thusly I'll Vote: Streaker. I think he hasn't really been putting much evidence into his posts and just voting for what seems easiest. At least that's the vibe I gots.

I probably need to do some individual post looks.

It's quite likely that you thought the bandwagon was a fairly good one and wanted to hop on. No need to lie though. Re- wagon: this is a big game and the thing I have found with large games is we do have to have everyone talking otherwise it's really hard to have discussion or reach a lynch.

Anyway shield, you've still earned my vote for that. If you are learning than show it, for one you haven't really made much input today only hopping on wagons.
