Whoa there, I thought you said you could only use your revive skills once? We all need to go back and look at everything you've claimed with this role, as it seems to change everytime you talk.

Who did you protect last night Spin????

QFE, which doesn't quite jibe with this (from waaaay back on page 19):

spinwizard wrote:i could make ppl alive again after they die (20%) chance, once this is used once i become a normal docter.

So either spin doesn't quite grasp the mechanics of his role (entirely possible) or he made the whole thing up and he's scum.

Oddly enough, I'm more inclined to go with the former. I just don't see spin having the poise to just whip up a semi-exotic role claim off the top of his head. And if he were smart enough to do so, he wouldn't be muddying the waters by being really hazy about what his role can actually do.

However, spin has become a major distraction, and whether or not he's mafia, a distraction is something we can do without. Clearly, if he's town, the only reason he's still alive is because there's already been considerable sentiment to lynch him, and the mafia figures that they can get us to do the dirty work for them. At best we'll spend a bunch of time debating the merits of lynching him, giving us less time to take hard looks at other suspicious individuals.

So I propose that if we don't lynch him today, we indefinitely table the idea of lynching him (unless new evidence comes to the fore). Otherwise we're just going to keep running around in circles.

Incans, was that all you could find about his role? I thought I rememebered a couple more posts, but will have to wait until tonight to check from home. I thought somewhere he said he could only use the saving role once? I might be mistaken though... need to check.

So wait. MB was killed by mafia, not lynched. And that was a couple nights ago (moz was killed last night). So there's no limit on who he can try to revive?

I agree with Incans... either Spin's an idiot and doesn't understand his role, or he's scum.

I completly agree With Incandenza. I just don't think spin is smart enough to bring this whole thing up then be careless enough to drag him self down. He obviously don't really know what his role means but i think he is harmless. WE should let him be for now unless any thing else comes up. with 4 people already dead i am sure we have enough evidence to find and kill a member of the mafia. Also on that note i am almost certain that the mafia member(s) are experienced. On night 1 they killed a very experienced player. WE could get almost no leads from that as it was too early in the game. On the 2nd night they killed a player that noone had accused again leaving us no suspect. On these grounds

Fos: Fircoal, Wicked, Xenhu All three of them are suspicious for different reasons. I am alomst certain at least one of them is scum. What do the rest of you think?

There's definitely more somewhere in day 2 (where he definitely seems confused as to his precise powers), but after going back and unearthing his original role claim, I hadn't the energy to plow through a bunch more pages... maybe this evening. :D

Power of the 'Stache, baby...

And I provisionally agree with your assessment of the mafia, mostly because, if spin turns out to be town, a noob mafia would most likely have just killed him, rather than let him dangle in the hopes that we lynch him...

I've already commented I think it's at least one experienced player. I'm thinking Fircola, as I stated previously, the way he's been sitting back and trying to stay out of the limelight. I think I already voted him too...lol.

I think either Fircoal or Xenhu. Xenhu has been so in your face all game that i think it could be a mafia front. On a happier note in the other game a mafia shapeshifter has been modkilled for inactivity!!!!!

I can dig the fircoal thing... ank and xenhu also stick out for me (xen a touch less so, perhaps). But like I said before, I've never seen fircoal this quiet.

good one... exile does seem to be popping in, posting a quick message, and then disappearing for the next 24 or so hours... maybe that's just due to the schedule he's on. But it's been hard to get much of a bead on him thru his posts.

Hmmm, glad about a mafia modkill in the other game.

But let's see, I'm really starting to think Spin is mafia.

I don't think that ANY of the people that you all find suspicious are posting aside from me... YOU guys figure out who you wanna vote, and I will badnwagon...

That's right, I said it... So what? That means you guys know that no matter what your decision, I abide by it. Does that make me look scummy? I don't give a shit.

Let's get this game movin'... It's Wed, and we have used half the week.

well since Fircola comes on and ignores the talk about him, hoping it'll go away, I'd say he's my #1 suspect now.

It is weird that fircoal isn't as active as usual, but personally i cut him a little slack since he plays every single mafia game created here. I'd rather vote for Spin, who can't keep his story straight and his posts give me headaches.

Not anymore, there are some that I haven't played. But I'll probably join more when they come. Also elimating weekends makes it harder.

and what talk was this. I've already heard that you think I'm not as active as I usually am.

Okay. So I had some time to kill and went back and investigated spinwizard a bit...

Here are the two times he referenced his powers on day 2. I've included the questions that prompted them to provide context:

spinwizard wrote:
wicked wrote:spin, did you protect yourself last night? and did you try to resuscitate UCA?

i tryed 2 resuscitate ...so i think i can protect some1 tonight (i can't protect myself)

spinwizard wrote:
Incandenza wrote:A few questions:

spin, did you protect wicked last night? (btw, using your regeneration ability on UCA prolly wasn't the greatest call in the world)

no, i cant protect till i resisitate some1...

And here, QFE, is what he said just recently:

spinwizard wrote:sorry, i have been ill, last night i tryed 2 revive MB, it has not succseded but i will try again 2night.

There was some discussion on day one about whether or not he could protect himself, but these seem to be the ultimately relevant posts.

And the f*ck of it is that it still doesn't really help us. We're still stuck with 'either spin doesn't fully comprehend the powers associated with his role or he's mafia'... did he try to resuscitate UCA or MB? Do his powers go away when he tries to resuscitate someone, or do they stick around until he actually succeeds? Did he read his role PM, or did the LSD create some sort of cognitive wave interference pattern that prevented him from doing so?

The funny thing is what else I found while checking him out. There's this post, in which he cast the sixth of seven votes for hecter:

spinwizard wrote:unvote-

vote hecter!

we need a lynch...

And then, in the very next post, this:

spinwizard wrote:can the cop investigate VGM 2nite

Several people called him on it, but in light of his continued survival it's a bit fishy. Then he also posted this:

spinwizard wrote:i have something 2 say...but i will wait 2 see who gets lynched 2nite

I'm quite curious as to what it was that he was going to say but didn't. But it's almost like he was confident in the fact that he'd still be breathing when day three rolled around.

I'd definitely like to see what everyone thinks about this. But for me, at the moment...

strong FOS spinwizard

spin, if you do have a good theory or something else important, please tell us. 'Cause from where I'm sitting, you look dicey.

that is very convinicng evidence. And i might vote for spin eventually. But remember that spin role-claimed after the hammar was dropped on him. There no way he could know that there was a mayor (or something of that ilk) to save him. I don't think he would be smart enough to do that. If he was going to role-claim to save his mafia butt why not do it before the hammer was dropped? I think he was just genuinly telling us what his role was. I don't think he is mafia. I think that going for one of the other lurkers tonight is a much better option

Thanks Incans for going back through everything!! I'm going to have to agree with dummies here though. It sounds like his role had to resuscitate on night 1 before he could protect someone on subsequent nights, then he could still rescustitate after that. Perhaps he can only either try to resuscitate or protect, but not both. Anyway, it does seem like a role that would confuse him. I remember in my last game, one of the fill-in's was a somewhat hew player, who was handed a role of mafia cop in my mafia... after reading his role, and me explaining what was going on, he then came back with... "so I'm a townie, right?"

Right now my vote's with Fircola, so barring any other evidence, I'll either vote him or Exile.

good point for dummies about spin, I don't think he is mafia either.

I still personally thik xen is mafia but anarchistsdream is just trying too hard when he has only 1 or 2 votes on him to convince us he is townie, from my experience this is a scumtell, so i am happy to vote for either at this stage.
for now though my vote stands

:-k

I'm still not sure about Anarkist. True, he is defending himself a lot despite the fact he only has two votes. However, this isn't out of character for him, so until I see more compelling evidence, my vote will remain undecided.
