Clickable Maps available to all-How it will affect your rank

Post by Beckytheblondie »

Now that clickies are available to all ConquerClub users, how do you think your rank or score will be affected?

My thoughts: My score can only increase as there will be more hapless victims to attempt to play freestyle. Those who already have built other skills will find them to be more valuable with a watered down talent pool. I hope this new addition will welcome more minnows into my pond.... I was waiting for this.

On a more serious and less metaphorical note, this is a wonderful and welcome addition if it weren't for the obstructive red squares. Leave those to the Soviets.

What are your thoughts?

I believe you can turn the red squares off, http://www.conquerclub.com/player.php?mode=settings

I agree with more minnows in the pond :) Or at least those that do develop skills will make freestyle all the more fun to play!

I wonder if the same people who complained about the stat bars will be complaining about this?

Thanks for the clickie maps addition, NOT.
Unless there is a way to disable games from using clickie maps then it is shit!

I didnt sign-up to play video games. This will probably result in me leaving this site. Hurray!!!!!

Just don't play freestyle. Sequential will stay exactly the same, except you'll be able to take your turns a little bit faster.

Some how the fact that you have to scroll through a list of territories and stuff makes it not a video game?

That has got to be one of the weirdest conversations I have ever seen. Or heard. Or smelled.

You have to update your clickies. There should be a flashing red message on your clickies menu

bob says latest version installed, but i have now lost the clickable map options menu panel, which is where you set your options up to play to your liking. I am praying that it isn't an in game thing that you have to set up every game, i am already ripping my hair out with why you would try to fix something that isn't broken, and wondering why all these left over springs and bolts are still laying around.

Sure it does. I used to play at a chess site that used drop downs, but when they switched to click maps, it changed the game completely...

Have you switched off bob? I think someone said BOB isn't compatible?

I fear it's going to affect my rank negatively even tho I only play sequential. I can just see myself getting excited and clicking attack attack attack.

I like the new clickies...but then again, I won't use firefox, so I never had them before.

And no, I'm still not gonna start playing freestyle all the time. Freestyle sucks my anus.

This doesn't even make basic sense. To avoid any clickable-map advantage, all you have to do is play sequential games.

Well I don't play freestyle so I guess that doesn't really matter for me. Sequential is still the same; clickies just make it so that lazy people like me can do turns without having to constantly scroll and read.

I'm a strict sequential player, and I've played a few turns with clickies now...

Turns out it's kinda fun.

Don't waste your time, Ljex.

This guy is almost as bad as [player]۩░▒▓₪№™℮₪▓▒░۩[/player].

He thinks those who use clickies are cheating; yet he still plays freestyle.

When he loses, he tells the opponent that he's cheating
(and proceeds to insult the opponent in various ways).

I bet you can find a few interesting game chats in his history.

Just thought I'd let you that you're not exactly dealing with a rational human being here.

You want to know why GTE is so angry about clickies being available to all?

GTE wrote:if it isnt standard on all games for everyone, then its a cheat

Now, he won't be able to call it a cheat anymore.

And that was a MAJOR part of his experience on CC.

In fact, the satisfaction of calling his opponent a pussy for using clickies was probably the main reason why GTE played CC.

Good riddance
