Welcome in the MapMaker Killer Serie

Be a MapMaker Killer! Fight hard to reach the finale and get the opportunity to defeat the MapMaker on his own map.

A special award will be given for any player who can defeat a MM (MapMaker / Cartographer) on his own map (+TA medal of course). See enf of post.

This serie of tournaments has been created firstly for beta map (but could also shows up on approved maps).

You should know that cartographers are the people who keep Conquer Club so exciting with new maps!

Those beta maps always need feedbacks about gameplay.

It gives players the opportunity to play beta maps and send to cartographers what changes could be done on map to make it more interesting or nicer.

MMK series has been discussed for weeks with cartographers and TDs. See the thread!

If you read this post, you can see we're still discussing about a special award to be given to the winner (+TA medal). Could be added in your signature.

Remember MM are only in finale as guests. They can't earn any medal.
If a player can defeat MM in finale, he will earn both TA medal and special award (signature award).
If MM win the finale, the other player will be awarded with a TA medal but as he didn't defeat MM, he won't be awarded with the MMK sign.
If finale count more than 2 players (ex MM + 5 players): Once MM get requirements for victory, we check if any other player has an advantage. If not, we can play more games to show a winner. Details will be given in each MMK.

I'm not sure if this thread is for the Middle Ages MMK only, or is this an overall thread for the whole MMK series?

Maybe a bit of a rewrite is necessary.

In either case, I'd like to be included, please.

You have to definitely have a method for determining the winner in order for this tournament to get privileges. The tournament can't just play out and then ultimately have no one win it.

I just found a new issue with your tournament. Our current point restriction means 1300 players are still eligible to participate in the tournament. According to listing the members by number of posts in descending order, only 700 people would qualify for your tournament by only taking players with 500+ posts. You have to drop that number down below 175+ posts in order to qualify at least 1300 players.

Not sure if we are allowed to comment on the tournament structure (excuse me if that's not the case) but if the goal of the tournament is to provide feedback about the map. Shouldn't it feature a higher variety of settings?

Also, I ike the idea of the 1st round featuring three chances. That's a refreshing variation.

Any comment can be helpfull. You're right about settings. Maybe differents settings during the tournament could be a nice idea. NO FOG and NO SPOILS or NUKE are recommended in rules.
But last word about settings is for MM in finale.
And for the rest of the tournament, it can be the MM or myself if the MM doesn't do it himself.

But I will tell MM about that, and let them know that picking multiple settings could be a +.

Yes, also in the rules to let players play at least 2 games on that map.

I don't get it. You're telling me that with 21 000 + players on CC, only 700 have more than 500 posts? I didn't think so. How could it be possible?

And I never said players under 500 posts are not eligible, but they'll be eligible if there are spots left. Players with 500+ posts are just prioritary to join that tourney. They'll be contacted first for the next MMK.
But my aim is also to let most of the players join my serie. More players = more feddbacks.
So, Does that make any change for you or do I have to change my thread?
Because MMK has been done to get more feedbacks about beta maps. And if we accept players with few post done, I assume they will not give any feedback to cartographers.

And set a 175+ limit is not enough for me. I prefer to not set any limit then.
