One Step Ahead and then The Legion. Once you make the final 8, everyone's competition looks brutal at that point.

Clarify, please

Your seedings have us (5) against The Legion (12).. where did One Step ahead show in that?

I need to be able to understand when and where the Legends of War are supposed to be playing, and I thought "seedings" was going to tell me that.

I will post a bracket here in a few that shows all clan names. But your first round for "play-in" but more like a round of 32 with byes will be against One Step Ahead since we had 29 clans sign up. The winner of your 5 vs 28 match will play the winner of the 12 vs 21 match.

Is anyone willing to guess how many upsets (top seed defeated) will occur?

6

Serious answer or some wishful thinking?

Serious answer, I think we can reasonably get to 6 when it comes down to matches like 16 vs 17, 8 vs 9, 15 vs 18 etc. with maybe a big upset or two also.

You guys did get a bad draw, cause of the first round more than anything else. Like others have said, once you get a few rounds in it looks brutal for everyone. Shouldn't really be a problem for you guys, but OSA has to be the worst seeded clan in this thing, they got hurt cause they're so new, they should be up near 20.
Rodion wrote:Is anyone willing to guess how many upsets (top seed defeated) will occur?

Not many. Looks to me like the matchups where the clans are seeded near each other (16/17, 15/18, etc), the seeds are pretty accurate (As crappy as OSA's seed is, they're not gonna beat LOW :P ). 13 Myth v 20 AFoS and 14 G1 v 19 Dynasty could stay close, but I think the higher seed will eventually win both, 16 BPB v 17 DB is the only likely "upset" in the first round imo.

I'd only PICK 2 total (DB over BPB and LoW over TSM), but there are others that are close. When all is said and done, my guess is 4 upsets.

Chuuuuck wrote:15 vs 18

Sorry MM (and Chuck), but I don't think 15 v18 will be very close

PS- Go Reapers! Wish you guys were just 1 or 2 spots higher, but you can still pull it off

I first thought it was serious, but then I noticed EMPIRE is 7th seed and you're counting on 6 upsets.

Truth be told, EMPIRE could win with as few as 3 upsets in the whole Cup, but the numbers (7th seed and 6 upsets) really made me laugh (and wonder).

G1 vs Dynasty looks interesting too.

I'm sure there will be a few slaughters at the tops of the brackets, it'll be interesting to see who the cinderellas are in the first round.

That is assuming there is no upsets, it is quite possible clans ranked 18 thru 29, that one of them could win.

;), the brackets in the second post also

blitz do you ever bother reading a thread before posting?

Yes i see jrh has already somewhat addressed this issue but seriously do a bit of leg work before you post.

We'll be ready  Of course, we have to work hard against Dynasty before it can happen but I'm sure it will be an extra motivation for us to be able to meet KORT again.

>>Edit. Also, I was wondering, are we allowed to set up the challenge topics and get games going as soon as both clans are ready for it?

I'm glad to see the rankings made it here, and I wish all participants a lot of fun in the event!

It feels good to be able to participate once again, albeit under a different flag.
Looking forward to the matches!

Why are KORT in lower brackets, not the upper ones?

Because 2 and 3 seeds would be in the same side of their bracket, while the 1 and 4 seeds would be in the other bracket.
Highest rank: 48th. Highest score: 3,384. Feb. 9, 2014.

Yes, if both clans agree, I am all for getting started early. I just don't like it when you get started late!

Brackets are made in such a way the top seed (1) always gets to play the weakest possible opponent (assuming no upsets occur). In the end, you just sum both seeds (again, assuming favorites don't lose) and the result has to be "number of teams left +1").
