P.S. angola, your comment is idiotic, so f*ck off (sounds nice, doesn't it?).
I would like to get AOD into this, still talking about it quite informally. As for the clans that are in, it would be nice to know who they are by updating the first post.

there is a post on page 6 listing all the clans in to that point, i think there are only a handful that have signed up since then
Sorry amazony, I try not to allow any questions go unanswered. I think I just missed yours previously. I am updating the original posts now. Sign ups will last will last at least one more week. Probably sometime between the 15th and 20th.
PMs will also be sent to all leaders again about the Power Rankings today and stating how they are mandatory as part of participation in this tournament.
You have stipulated that games sent must already have been created. This makes it very easy via Game Finder to check what games your opponents have created. The only way to avoid this (and retain that rule) is to create one's games at the very last minute, which unfortunately will only serve to encourage unnecessary delays.
If you wish to adhere to this rule of games having to be created then the deadline should stipulate what time you are working to (e.g. midnight EST, GMT, etc) and not simply a date.
The alternative is to abolish this rule and replace it with a system whereby each clan PMs the game details to the TO who, upon receipt of a PM from each clan, instructs the two parties to create the games in accordance with the details submitted.
Cheers, and looking forward to a much fairer tournament this time round.
I am trying to think of a solution to this. I guess the one you suggested will work. Do other people think this is a problem? Granted it is nice to know what is coming, but is it that much of a difference knowing 1-2 days earlier what games are being sent? Everyone is on the same playing field by being able to tell what is coming. Others thoughts?
Also, I have updated the language in the OP about the home team also needing to join their games when they are sent as to avoid stalling in fog games.
There has been a lot of PMs sent to me and questions about the new clans that don't have 2 completed clan wars yet. As of right now, we are going to stick to 2 completed clan wars by the end of the sign up period to enter this competition. However, if you don't meet this and are interested, please still post and sign up because at the end of the sign up period there is a chance I will allow a few of them in to even out the numbers in the bracket. I will discuss in the CLA forums which ones and how many (if any) will be allowed that still keep it fair for all involved after we know how many total clans that qualify sign up.
I think you can start a waitlist for clans that do not have two completed clan wars and should one of them become qualified, add them to the roster, but if not (and room is available afterward) then take teams in the order of the waitlist
THE PACK would like to get in but we are finishing our first war up and already started our second war. We will not be done with 2nd war in time, but if you will take us as we are that would be great! First war is already won just finishing a few games. But it should be done by the start of this
I think it would be nice if this cup was open to allcomers, making it a true 'challenge cup' (in the same spirit as the FA Cup in England when minnows can beat giants).
There's going to be a preliminary round for those outside the top 8 seeds (or could it even stretch to 16 this time?) and it presents a great opportunity for any new clan to cut their teeth in a community-recognised tournament and, who knows, move into the next round.
Just my 2 cents' worth, as it may prevent bad vibes at being rejected/overlooked.
Highest position #5 (18 Nov 2010) General 4,380pts (11 Dec 2010)
With EE and O&H dead.... That is 12 of the 18 still missing.
Counting TSM also that is a lot of clans not yet signed up. Of the 10 missing from last year I expect at least 6 to sit out. Just from looking at things.
We were the 4th Clan in Bruce
