I could live with going by the top players country. Still would instill competition.

Don't make it bloody american ranks. Please! Anything but that!
Better if we could choose which countries symbols to use.

Not sure I like the competition idea, since that would tend to make people forget that it's just a game and we'd get more whining in the forums about people taking advantage of the system. But I definitely like the American colonel's insignia better. The General's star and the major's swords should stay.

Then I have another idea:

Make The Bleeding Insignia Up.

Be creative, come up with something that carries no resemblance to existing insignia.
So instead of arguing which country should have the "honour" of having its military knickknacks representing the amount of points some player on some internet gaming site has accumulated, we can argue about which player has designed the best insignia for this site to use.

I like this idea. CC is unique, so its ranks should be as well!

IMHO, I think making up ranks is.....silly. No offence intended!

Seriously, I would hope they would change all the generals to have a silver star or something like that.

How about once you get to a certain point score - perhaps where general or colonel is now, you have the ability to create your own rank icon and title. It would be another treat for the top players and an incentive for the rest?

I know that this thread is technically discussing insignias for Captains, Colonels and Generals, but could we change the "New Recruit" question mark to a target?

I don't really care what type of insignia we use, as long as there are different colors for premium and freemium accounts.

yep.

and I think the new recruit symbol should be that of a PFC b/c thats the lowest rank in the Armed Forces of the United States of America.

I am a republican.

Not everyone is an American.

Keep politics to the Messy Hall (off-topic boards).

I think that we all can agree that the Lt.'s symbol should not be chevrons but a bar. That separates the officers from the enlisted ranks.

as the system detects what country you're in, i'd like to see some variation for national insignia. Would also be nice if people could choose from land, air, sea. That would give variation, without giving people free licence to do what they want.

obviously that's more work for the site monkeys, but members could always offer up their services by creating the images for them.

i think noobs (like me) should get a proper insignia too. Even if it's just a startled bunny.

any ADMIN comments on this?
