DAY 1

The sun rises on the valley of Bowser to see what one of the plumbing brothers has done. A river of blood and at the top is Bowser himself. The townsfolk rifle through his pockets (or turtle shell holes) looking for something that will prove what he’s been up to. Out of Bowser’s shells come a blood soaked piece of parchment, it’s a bit hard to read but it says:

dear (splotch of blood), I have come to you because I know you’re the innocent one of the two of you. For once I want to be fighting for good, but I know people will never accept me. So I wanted to write you this letter telling you that I want to help.

I haven't played mafia in a long time.

I see it's early in the game,

but what conditions change for people to vote lynch. Just wondering

Yes, without having a lynch, means there is no chance of killing a mafia ... it also means that there is no chance of killing another townie, and the more townies that are dead means less votes for the town .... so unless someone has some information as to who the mafia might be then there is no point in just randomly picking someone. Just my two cents.
