Same here, in fact all of my 1 v 1 games are won by whoever goes first. Perhaps the rules should be changed so that whoever is 2nd gets some extra troops on their 1st turn, say 25%?
i disagree all my games my oppenent went first i won 2 he won 1.they were all hard fought games aswell.great strategy by both players.i play alot of head to head battle and i can go either way if play right

in my game i had i i went first once and 2nd in the other game but won both games. the game i went first it ended in 7 rounds compared to the other which ended in 10 rounds
i think you are right going first makes a huge difference because the map is so big its worthless going for bonuses, but going for regions instead
I agree that starting is an advantage...I won both of my games: In the he first one I was second and won in 15 difficult rounds. In the 2nd game I started and was in a huge lead on the 3rd turn...
On my third game I started first but lost. My opponent had a better starting position. I also had some bad luck and made a bad decision in the third round that cost me. Hopefully by next Halloween I will have had some more practice.

Go ahead, collect them then. This has no revelance to the tournament and therefore I won't waste my time for it.
I'm sure that there are people who wish to use their time for that but I think I should send you over to Suggestions forums, where I believe the discussion of going first/dropping with bonuses/luck of dice has been brought out several times and always ended up in the same place - it's all part of the game.

I don't wish to discuss anything, I was just wondering if anyone would step up and compile the data to satisfy my curiosity.
As I will be in military service for a while, it does not seem possible for me to play the games on round 2. You may remove me and add a reserve. Good luck all !
Standings have been updated. There are 2 decisive games that need to end before we can move on to next round. 1 game is active and players for the other one have just got their invites.

Thank you for notifying me about the situation.
At this point I won't be bringing in reserves. Instead, beetlejuice_3's round 1 opponent will take his place.

I'll get round 2 out today but freemiums don't have to join the games before December 20 because this is the time they have to have a spot open like mentioned in my previous post.

I have randomised the list of players who advanced to round 2, created games and just finished sending out those games. Scoreboards can still be in the third post of page 1.
As some people have had to wait for quite long for new round due to their games finishing faster then I'm expecting it to take a week or so to get all games started. Therefore, please be patient if your game doesn't start right away.

Could I get some clarifications for round 2? So is this a one-shot game where the one who eliminates 4 players is the winner despite if losing overall? And what if there's a 3-3 split (2 people both terminated 3 players)?

Round 2 tiebreaker will be a game played between the players in a tie. In case of a 2 player tie, best of 3 series will be used.

Yes, there's 1 game in this round and whoever gets the most kills in the game advances to next round (even if he/she doesn't "win" the game), everybody else in the game are eliminated. Tiebreaker situation is like Rodion posted
