bogan i admitted it was over. i will update at the end. only thing i can say is well played. and as for your comment about me trolling the forums. i have followed this challenge you have only actually played about 4 shots yourself. but have had lots of time to post in the forums(at some points while another player was taking your shots.)

When one of our best players has an absurdly long work day and comes home closer to midnight many days, I don't see how that helps us in any way if that's what you are insinuating.

Wow, this was close and it's a shame because it looks like we slipped up right at the end.

From what I've seen you all played pretty well. Dice are dice and have the final say in the end anyway.

1 cm? Are you kidding? Aren't you just south of England? I would think you would get snow more often. That is only a third of an inch!

nope i am not kidding, it is because we are a small island so all the salt in the air usually evaporates it. It has only snowed 4 times in the 15 years i have been here.

We laugh our arses off at "Västtrafik" the local public transportation company here in Gothenburg, that despite the second largest city of a country that should be well used to extreme winter weather, the whole organisation seems to fall into chaos apon the slightest chance of snow ;) In their defence though, it usually takes 5-15 centimetres.. haha

Last winter might have toughened them up a little though, we had more than a half a meter of snow here for months, which although very usual for larger parts of Sweden, is not that common in Gothenburg.

from late December to late February it will probably snow 95% of days here in Binghamton. Not that much each day except something like 4-5 big storms, but when it snows every day they get used to it. There have been days where it snows a foot and classes weren't canceled.

Snow? What is this "snow" to which you refer? I've heard tales of frozen water that falls from the sky, but have yet to see it. :P

1 cm of snow? Man, you guys would like, die in Canada.

We have snow up to our knee's already, had -35C weather, and 3 blizzards. School and transportation has yet to be shut down.

I'm going to go way out on a limb and guess that Chicago's a bit nippy this time of year. In related news we're supposed to have a high of 73 tomorrow. Might be a bit warmer in the Valley.

ljex wrote:Really and you have never seen snow?

Entertainingly, contrary to popular belief I can go outside right now and see snow in the mountains (well, not right now, but rather when it's light out... but you get the idea). And when I was in 7th grade it snowed for like 5 minutes, but of course my asshole teacher thought that whatever the hell we were learning was more important than letting her charges frolic in a weather type that comes once in a generation to these environs.

And even aside from that, yes, I've seen snow. Sorry, wintertime tends to bring out the smug "the weather where I live is insanely superior to yours" bastard in me, as evidenced in my above comment to drunkmonkey.

ah that's ok, I was going to say we'll be here to Christmas finishing up the Hive anyway, but I do actually have some clan-war related news. The Oasis quads has been sunk by a well aimed broadside, and that ladies and gentlemen puts the score at 31 won games for the Brethren, and this Clan War officially has a winner :D

I suppose now is the time I throw up some fancy quote justifying why we didn't win big.. hmm ok maybe not so fancy, (hollywood...) but ok; "Any real racer will tell you it doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winning is winning." ;)

Congrats to the Mermaids on a tough fought challenge.

Great showing from TIME. A close loss like this against a top clan puts you on everyone's radar.

Congratulations Mermaids on victory in what was a fun clan war, and thankyou for the opportunity.

I think we all learnt alot from this, obviously for TIME, it was invaluable in assessing our team potential and possibilities. Although we can clearly hold our heads high from this, we have alot of development ahead of us.

I thought history judged not the victory, but the manner it was fought.

But no need to justify anything, I think everyone involved played well, and can be content with the results. Perhaps the underestimation of this clan's potential or ability before this challenge began, will be revised by some critics or clan leaders now, yet another positive result.
