Ok, I think I'll send it out some time tomorrow. Then most of the clans will have the weekend to go over what they'd like to put into it.

You need to edit my name out of the IA info.

Interesting, although this does pose a problem with this idea. There are many parts of this that are incorrect and keeping the data up to date once it has all been gathered will be difficult.

So where are you now anyway? flying solo?

I'm only as good as my sources ;)
Thats why in Amaz's template, it helps having the links to the appropriate places, since even if the thread doesn't stay updated, the link to the usergroup memberlist will still be up-to-date

Just a comment for TSM. We do still accept new members, we're not totally closed. We don't have a recruitment thread or advertise it, but we do consider people if they are good. Usually new members just talk to one of us directly and ask to join. Recruitment is slow because we like to thorough, and for that I apologize in advance to anyone who applies. Anyway, maybe you could edit it to say, something like selective recruiting or something like that.

Ok, I've gotten submissions in from Memento Mori and A Fistful of 6's so the first post has been updated.
And from what I know, Thota, Kort, Aod, and the Devils Brigade will be working on theirs.
Also, there's no reason to rush this. As long as you're happy with the information you're giving or being given on you possibly being the main source on your clan. And also, to make the entry perhaps a bit cleaner, it might be helpful quoting the message, and inserting the information directly into the appropriate place

I've submitted TIME's. Short and sweet. Good luck with this, it will be hard work keeping it all up to date.

Yeah, I had the same problem with the link AFoS gave me as well. It seems that when you go through someones wall to their clan, it gives you https://www.conquerclub.com/forum/memberlist.php?mode=group without the actual identifying '&g=193040' at the end. Not really sure why that happens, but I just went through the control panel and usergroups to enter the right data in.

I've also decided to do away with the CC cup, league and Other links options for those clans that have N/A (not applicable) in those fields. I think it'll just save some clutter.

And in other news, entries for Time and Dynasty have been inserted.

You have to go through the control panel to get the proper link to the group. Not sure why that is.

Lol, I was more worried that this would get carried away into the sin-bin since I haven't really been able to compile all the info I wanted to. (Nice resurrection btw, at least the clean-up made it more visible ;))
I think I've gotten experienced enough on my own to be able to put a relatively detailed enough sketch in place myself, just need to find the time and effort to put into this while still working on other projects.

QoH wrote:Can you add in TNC?

Lol, it was initially intended that clans submit their own info and it can be compiled in the template fashion we discussed a page or 2 back. That didn't really work out as plans so I seem to have a mismatch on the template (good) info and just some random challenge or recruitment thread outlines which I'm not so happy with as adequate representation.

If we can get a collaborative process going it can still work out nicely, but otherwise it may just end up needing me as a 1 man army to do all the info gathering which I haven't been up to performing as yet.

Well, I think it already is a fairly good thread with good representation that would be useful to those, who are not too knowledgeable about CC clans. I'm sure that you will tailor it to be a bit more eye-friendly, but it's already a good thread that should be accessible to anyone who is interested in CC Clans (A name change would be a good idea as well).

Also, if you need some help with this, I do believe I'd be able to help you out a bit.

Unfortunately I don't really have the time (or energy) to chase the respective clans for their info (the curse of taking on other duties), but I have included the Vdll info that [player]JBlombier[/player] sent me.

It's kinda ironic that when I started this I didn't have the knowledge of clans and needed to try hunt out info, and now that I do consider myself knowledgeable on the different clans around, I still am unable to complete the project for other reasons. #-o

Yeah, this was going to be a bitch! One of the reasons that we started a "Clan Challenge" Thread was to make the general clan section a kind of "History" section for clans. So we have recruitment in one, challenges in another, and this general section is for histories. There are quite a few clans that have been using this section for just that purpose, including mine, so clans are encouraged to start their own history thread. Perhaps once most clans have a history thread this project will be a bit more manageable.

Thanks for including the VDLL in your list. It will be an awesome list once it is fully updated.
