Oh, I know the perfect solution to offsetting the advantages of fs clickies, faster puter processors, and faster internet.
CC needs to buy everyone a computer, hard-wired into the CC gameplay system, using one single type of internet access - perhaps buy its own satellite, and only those puters CC purchased get that special access code. Initial cost of CC membership would probably need to be in the neighborhood of $100,000 and no more free memberships, but the advantages are, admin headaches about the "unfairness" of certain options go down.
I had clickies installed, but did not use them; they did not interface well with my computer and I did not like the slug effect it created. I can freestyle and speed-play without them, but generally I won't win except in team games.
Options other than the one I suggested that would totally renovate how CC operates

are for those who can't use clickies to join fs (or speed) games with players you've verified do not use clickies; stop playing fs; buy a new computer that you are sure will interface well with clickies installed; get better internet access to improve your speed. (I hear it now: I can't afford a puter/mom controls what internet access/blah blah) bottom line is, you have the same options your opponents had; they found a way to get the options they wanted. Neither CC nor your opponents will limit you from pursuit of your options.
Are clickies an advantage? Yup. But not an "unfair" advantage - you are not forced to play fs against a player who has them.
