Why wasn't GENERAL STONEHAM, who was baited by Osama PR rep Falkomagno into an exchange of flames to the point of being banned again, not included on this poll?

Think ya need to reload the poll joshybo, drop the zeros and avoid a poll fail.

He called me a garden gnome.

Which is not nice.

I'd like to challenge this wimp "Other" to a private flame match.

I haven't heard of you and I'm not scared of you.

I found a lot of the flame wars to be pretty pathetic with people just getting angry for no reason other than they wanted to proove themselves to unknowns.

Having said that, there were some genuinly funny and engaging threads.

My fave flame wars posters were AD because he tended to have a reason for arguing and didnt just flame for the sake of flaming. (Or if he did it was tongue in cheek iirc)

Prowler just because he had this holier thaqn thou attitude which no one quite got. He did on occasion come across as quite intelligent (though he didnt much care for me at the time lol)

DM Was probs the king though. I rarely saw him lose control and he was very very funny.

Ronc8649 sent me this message:

Zombie, will you let chaosfactor know that his incoherent readings were on the same lines of trekkie jibberish. P.O.A. was never a pile of awesome, it was more or less a pile of shit that was taken down, put back up, taken down, and then never back. That site was made up of nonsensical tripe that needed waders to step through.

For chaosfactor to state claims as such is funny to me. I'm pretty sure that we are all speaking of flame wars not some site that had 12 members, half of which were all on the same iq level of chaos. I can remember the good ol' days of chaos getting flamed without moderation, he would get so mad that he didnt have the vocabulary to fight back, he would just spit illogical shit in caps with run on sentences leading the way, and some that couldnt get out of his way.

Chaos, let one thing be known. This is not a flame towards you, I have had my fun with you, as well as everyone else has. The fact that nobody finds you amusing should be more proof that you need to go back to p.o.a. That blank page has a lot in common with what goes on in your head....See you all in August!

Thanks buddy!!!!

One of the golden rules we had in Flame wars in its day was that you never flamed a man that was down..

All previous flamers from that period will back me up upon this.

Zombie, judging from your words it appears Ronc is not available to comment at this moment.

When Wicked heisted her elongated thigh leather-booted legs into the scene, and cut up a cool kat posse for reasons un-explained, we generally grouped around the fallen predator.

Such as I feel you are doing right now..

Ronc came into the last game of flame wars, when it was petty, understaffed by anarchists and fucking lame. I for one held a shallow ground bickering with prowler over the last scraps of the day. It was a diseased load of bollocks, If any one held a decent shout in those last flickering flames it was General Stoneham.
I care not to comment on the throws and roundabouts that happened after April the first, because I got the f*ck out of dodge. In fact most of us did. We all legged it to another site (as is the norm in CC Vs fruitcake battles) and set up another site.

Within a few months P.O.A had attracted almost all the banned flamers from this forum and we set up camp. Jolly were the times indeed! For a change the super heros of the 2006-7 age could set up elsewhere and interact upon their old handles.

Norse-Mandy-B-Mustard-Billy-7-Prowler-Flabio-plus many many more.. :D

Perchance Andy duff may add his historic charm and agree, that for once, after several sites of antagonism, P.O.A was not about attacking Conquer-club, it was more about the regrouping of a lost era (be it flame, or be it nostalgia)

The first site that flame gladiators ran to, was a site called "The Banned", those that arrived on that scene were gestapo angry folk whipped by wicked's lash.
In retrospect, all we wanted to do was to bring about the downfall of conquer-club. No prisoners for Twill, neither for Andy

There have always been rival forums knocking out an alternative to conquer-clubs flame forums. Hecter started one, Mustard started one, I started one also.

P.O.A was the best how-ever, I will say one thing about that forum, and that was that it generated fruitful chaos for almost nigh upon a year, but it was lacking one thing and one thing only...

We had the posers, the nutters, the posters, the antichrists, the trolls, the flamers, the entirety with the lack of moderation, but you know what the one thing missing was....?

The game of risk..

Gaming bought all of us folk legends together, and I revel in the past, as well as i look forward to the future. I know without a shadow of a doubt that Mustard/Norse/Lion/Wicked are all looking onto this thread,(albeit under different names).

The culture is not dead my friends, it has simply moved into another era..

I toast you all flame valhalla, to the fallen, the smitten, the by-gone, and to the new beginnings of another age.. :D

Your poll is misguided, but history has to be recorded..

I won't vote for myself, I was not generally a great flamer in those days, I did however set up the first interactive competitions between the hardcore.

The school of Flame was the first competitive showdown that I arranged.
I arrived as a fledgling little sniper into a fold of vipers, bad were those days when you arrived into the Flame forums unchecked...
  8-) 8-)

: I've Had Enough

Scene:- A hot summers day, in a Ghetto in Brixton, Sarf London.

"Chaosfactor, this is the Canadian Mounted Police, we have got you surrounded, come out with your hands in the air, resistance is futile!"

Reggae sounds float through the air whilst stoned Rastamen look upon the brigade of light cavalry with red eyed amusement.

"Its no good hiding behind your curtains chaosfactor, we have come a long way after queuing for hours in the British consulate to apply for visas, and we have spent absorbent amounts of Canadian dollars flying these parachute drop trained horses over, we know exactly what we are doing".

........

Mountie private :- "Sir, Permission to report Sir!"

Mountie sergeant :- "Make your report private"

Mountie private :-"I Have have returned with intelligence after bribing that native over yonder (points to a rastafarian emerging from a bottle shop with a six pack), and he has told us that the house we have surrounded is not chaosfactors house, it is in fact a church!"

Mountie sergeant :- "Good lord above, Chaos cannot live there for he is the antichrist, did you find out where the devil he may be?"

Mountie private :- "Apparently sir he is thought to be located in one of the nearby pubs"

Mountie lieutenant :- "Good work soldier, I will take over from here. Have an imaginary medal to pin on your lapels, and please could you remove that plastic English policeman's hat from your head"

Mountie private :- "But Sir..."

Mountie lieutenant :- "No buts, remove it, and find a parking spot for our horses, we shall take it on foot from now on, because I am sure this scaly wag cannot be too far away, I mean how many bars can there be in this backwater anyhow?

Mountie Sergeant :- "I can see 10 from where I am standing Sir"

Mountie lieutenant :- "O.K its obviously a process of elimination then, I suggest we split up and try to blend in with our surroundings, and try to appease the locals by buying them drinks for information, off you go chaps, and remember to blend in"

-The Prince Albert-

Mountie Private 1 :- "Good day to you Mam, I would like a refreshing drink please"

English barmaid :- "Are you lost huney"

Mountie private 1 :- "Not so much lost, no, why"

English barmaid :- "The fancy dress party is in the Vauxhall tavern down the road where a cover band are playing village people songs all night, here have a pint of fortified cider".

-The Dog-star-

Mountie Private 2 :- "Hello good sir, one of your vitalizing English beverages please, and I wonder if you could tell me the amount of pubs there are in the nearby area?"

Russian Barman :- "Did your girl friend dress you comrade? Ze number of bars in Lambeth amounts to 276, and here is a Legless Leningrad Cock Killer".

-The Fridge Bar- "

Canadian Ninja Lawyer :- "I am hereby appointed by the government of conquer club to find out any information about the famed Woodruff shotgun massacre, that could lead to the arrest of a subject known in alias as chaosfactor, can you, or any of your parties that inhabit this licensed dwelling , supply me first with a large gin and tonic, and possible directions to the nearest imaginary shotgun store?"

Transvestite prostitute :- "Mmmm hunney bunny, I heard a little bird tell me that Canadian boys are endowed with extra small penis's, making them perfect fodder for the transgender process, would you like me to enlighten you a little bit, little one?"

The Hobgoblin

Conquer club moderator representative :- "Greetings worthless being, take these imaginary internet charms and give me a lemonade pronto before I cut off the electricity to this establishment"

Sulky bar wench :- "If your looking for the star trek convention, you missed it by one year and a fortnight, and for your information this bar runs on solar power, wind turbines and ganja, so good luck in turning our strobes off matey boy. Lemonade is also a no-no, we only serve alcohol in this joint and for this we require cold hard cash, not some of your see-through internet kudos".

Conquer club moderator representative :- "Was that a flame? You know there are laws against this kind of behavior".

Sulky Barmaid :- "Perhaps you would like to swop your imaginary made up charms, for this imaginary sawn off shotgun sir? I got it cheap from a desperate looking chap just the other day"

Conquer club moderator representative :- "Golly does it work?"

Sulky Barmaid :- "Only in your imagination my friend, here take it, along with 16 rounds of imaginary ammunition, along with this non imaginary pint of reinforced brake fluid"

-Meanwhile 6 hours later back on Cold Harbour lane-

Mountie Lieutenant :- "Sergeant over here if you please"

Mountie Sergeant :- "Hic,Yhas Sirr"

Mountie Lieutenant :- "A progress report would be enlightening, pray tell, what news from our esteemed battalion?"

Mountie Sergeant :- "Well sir, it appears three of our chaps have been arrested for having a drunken brawl. One dozen horses have been wheel clamped, and the rest have been towed by Lambeth council, 4 of our NCO's have contracted Herpes from the yonder brothel, six of our finest veterans are in Kings hospital having there stomachs pumped, 7 more were last seen mooning the queen outside buckingham palace, 12 have deserted and have joined the climate change protest, 3 boarded flights for a rave in Ibiza, 9 set off to middle earth in an effort to arrest sauron, and the remaining 2 are pretending to be traffic cops over by all the car wrecks just there sir".

Mountie Lieutenant :- "I see... and chaosfactor?"

Mountie Sergeant :- "We are doing all we can, at the moment Sir".

Mountie Lieutenant :- "I see, how many of us are there left?"

Mountie Sergeant :- "Just us Sir"

Mountie Lieutenant :- "Any suggestions Sergeant?"

Mountie Sergeant :- "Split up Sir?"

He was Prowlers homosexual throwback, he got educated in the same hick town as the aforesaid moron, and only broke cover when the dog-napper came on site. Prowler has a thing for young kids and was once a referee/coach for that walking punchbag.

Back in the early days of flame wars, noobs used to repeatedly kick wrestlerlumps arse from central Canada to Mexico, Prowler made half hearted attempts to intervene to save the poor child's arse, but normally wound up in flame asylum alongside him.

Wrestlerlump, (as his name suggests) was not a feature in flamewars, he was something you kicked when all other targets had dried up..

Hahahahaha!!!!

chaosfactor the historian. Years of drug abuse have distorted his memory.

My feelings are torn; on one hand, I find it sad because he can't distinguish between fact and fantasy. But on the other, I think he is in a blissful place with pleasant thoughts, whether real or not, and he is happy and harmless.

So I'll drop a quarter in his cup and smile and wish him a nice day, knowing full well that in a few days he'll be proclaiming that he hustled me for my money in some very elaborate ponzi scheme.

Until the drugs wear off....

Note no denial from Prowlers quarter!

Just so long as the chaosfactor sound system is banging out the large phat sounds, there will always be an alternative opinion to counter the fresh checked pimpled ponce's point of view.

Don't start me Prowler, or I will (much to the forums delight),
drag up classic Canadian downgraded posts.
