I suppose though it became a world war when war was declared in the east, which would be perhaps America declaring war on Japan at pearl harbour (as china-japan was an undeclared war). The soviets may have declared war on Japan before that, not sure though.
Change Austria to Australia and I guess you are right although technically Great Britain and France had a pact with Poland so they actually were at war at the same time. September 3rd is officially recognised as the beginning of WWII I think.
Hmm...Canada didn't come to help their Anglo friends along with Australia and New Zealand?
