B) I'm not defending him, quite the contrary, I suggest no one play with him, I only advise using a few brain cells to avoid him
C) I too do not want him even against me because if he wins I lose a shitload of points
My only point is is to not pick a game with him as a team member and whine later because you were too stupid to check out his stats
When I was new I didn't care a lot about winning, just liked to play, learn, compete. I played with other ppl with poor stats to try for the big upset. Because as a new player most people would ask me to leave their team if I tried to join.
There is a BIG ASS difference between going into a game the underdog and trying to pull an huge upset and have a lot of fun in the meantime and joining a game the underdog and your teammate kills you in round 1.
Big difference. There is no "learning, playing, and competing" in an atmosphere like this. I don't think the guy should lose his account, just be banned from ruining other persons fun in teams (and if that isnt possible, then suspend him). This game is still about fun. And when you have a jackass trying to ruin the fun on your team... well there are rules and we are all adults. There is no sense in this.
You are defending the guy... And It also makes me wonder why?
Conquerclub should not be so serious ,and it isn't to the vast majority , that one has to do a game scan and fbi background check complete with personality tests before joining up with a perspective partner.
Thanks, army of nobunaga, for taking the time to post so thoughtfully.
Consider this, Greatwhite. If we all check to avoid teaming with players with low ratings, how can we be sure that we are avoiding only players with wrong intentions, and not also turning our shoulders on honest players who just need to learn?
As you say, it doesn't really concern you, because you avoid low-ranked players anyway. So who is going to play with these low-ranked players? Well, lots of the time it's going to be other low ranks, and a lot of them are going to be new or newish to CC. And it is precisely these new members who need to be warned about players like FaiDillinger.
FaiDillinGer can put new members off playing in team games for good. And in my game, after chatting enthusiastically when we discussed deployment, my other team member has not posted in chat. And he has not replied to my pm either. I suspect that he thinks that I am part of some dirty joke against him, I don't know.
CC is a community of players from all around the world, as I am beginning to experience. People like FaiDillinGer corrupt that community.
I agree with you, Greatwhite, that the world is far too full of rules and regulations, and that all these systems are open to abuse as well. At least that is where I think that you are coming from, you sound like a libertarian who advises us to be wise enough to look after ourselves. If so, then we walk a long way down the same road together.
But in this case I think that something should be done about this problem.
