Re: Zombie Mafia - Day Two - A Bloodcurdling Scream

Night time really seemed to slow the game way down. Interesting theories abound about zombies. Remember when it said that everyone was alive "ish"? That along with the scream makes me think someone is about to go off on us here. Of course, if people were actually POSTING, maybe we'd be able to pick up some clues. So, due to the lack of new leads, walrus remains the scummiest.

FOS everyone not posting.

It is not my policy to reveal more of the set up than strictly necessary, as the unraveling of it is part of the fun. However, I guarantee that as long as the game is running, its outcome is undecided. Whatever side you're on, as long as you are in the game, your best option is to play it to the best of your abilities.

I will prod Fircoal again and, if need be, replace him. I had the impression that pmchugh had withdrawn himself from the mafia scene, but if he's back and interested in playing (and being active), he'd be welcome to take the next open spot. If not, all suggestions are welcome.

Okay, if you are right, mandy, and people do become zombies when they die, what leads you to believe I have become the zombie?
I do think that you have the general idea right although a few things seem odd.
a) assuming there is only one person with a day kill, how come when it was used to kill safari it cut off the head and made it so he can't come back as a zombie (or at least I don't see how he could, what with his body not having access to his head) how come the day kill today was ineffective?
b) I would think that I would have gotten some sort of notification, telling me that my role has changed, but I have nothing, so if I am a zombie, I don't see how I am supposed to operate. (run-on sentence)
c) Can we have a vote count?
d) I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking this, and I hope it doesn't sound scummy, but why not just let ourselves be turned into zombies? Do zombies win when they have a majority?

Nevermind, I think I got something now:

mandalorian2298 wrote:I believe that Walrus has been assassinated today, following the same logic that the Day Killer followed during Day 1 when he shot Safari: help the condemned man to find his grave fast, so that we might get the most out of the Day time ("Carpe diem!" as Walrusus would put it ;) ). However, Walrus didn't die 100% but has instead started to decompose while retaining all of his charm and verve. Which is why i plan to vote for him.

Mandy, I think the day killer had to be town because of how the killing was performed. The day kill was done in a way that suggests the killer thought Safari was a zombie, and cut off his head. However, now that I think about it if there's some third party besides town and zombies, the third party would want to off zombies as well as town.

Either way, there are two things you say that I question:

1. I still don't understand the theory that a fast kill on any day is a good thing to "get the most out of the day time." Safari could have been given a chance to claim, but never got it. I'd take a claim to think about over a quick kill to see for sure what he was.

2. I also don't understand how you can think walrus is the one who was bitten. Why would a zombie bite the leading vote getter? even though it was only a couple votes at the time...

FOS Mandy (please explain to me)

are you saying that you tried to kill someone and it didn't work? or are you saying the scene that was most likely someone being bit was supposed to be the day kill?

is that due to you being the source of the zombie plague? or perhaps a cult recruiter?

i know your skills are generally better than to let something like that slip but I can't seem to let this sentence go, it nags at my brain. I suggest someone keep an eye on ga7 tonight and see what happens. of course now that i point it out nothing will, so perhaps a random future night.

You're reading too much into it, ga7 is just complaining that he is always killed the first night and therefore was trying to submarine the first day so that he could enjoy and appreciate the game more properly.. I don't think there is a scummy undertone to his message. Also, thought I should inform you - not sure if the mod was informed that he is not back until friday as he has had his account sat for him.

Walrus, you may in fact be the only one who thought of that, mostly because saying "ZOMG I wanna be teh zawmbeh clubb" will get you lynched the next day, even if you don't get bit. Plus, it probably wouldn't count towards you winning anyway, at least not as much.

I'm with ML on CW, as well as his opinion towards voting him.

How long until the deadline? CW I'm still unconvinced on why you shouldn't be the best target to lynch today. Explain again why we shouldn't be voting for you to be lynched?

It's funny that what I thought was the most interesting part of that post was the part you didn't address. By the way, I don't really think there's anything odd about asking for a vote count when you're on getting bandwagoned and don't want to get accidentally lynched. I will grant you that his third statement is certainly phrased in a very peculiar way. My vote will stay on him for a claim.

But as I was saying, the fact that we haven't seen a daykill likely means one of three things about this mystery vig: either he is pro-town and is holding off because of the negative town reaction to his blunder yesterday, his ability is on a longer timer than a day, or perhaps it was a 1-shot vig kill.

Of course, we may still see a kill today. If it's not somewhat that the town wants by overwhelming majority to be killed, then we should assume the killer is scum. Fair enough?

FIne, I'll claim, I guess I should have earlier. I am a vig. I tried to kill colton last night, as I still suspected him, and I hoped that killing him would prove me a town. I think he is now a zombie, but I didn't vote him before, as I didn't want to claim.

I suggest we lynch colton, if he is a zombie, then we know that killing people does make them zombies.

Your only defense is the failed assassination of a verifiable power role? Well, Colton did ask for doc protection every other page, I wouldn't be surprised if he received it, I'm more inclined to vote you for several reasons.
possibility 1; you are a zombie recruiter who kills people to turn them into zombies, we can still lynch colton later.
possibility 2; you are telling the complete truth, you are a vig making zombies and are a useless burden of the town.
possibility 3; you are a killer who failed because of doc protection, a killer who prefers to test power roles claims by liquidating them.

Safariguy5 2.0 replaces Fircoal, effective immediately!

I saw on Fircoal's user profile that he hasn't been on the CC site at all since January 25th, so I see no need to wait until tomorrow.

You tried to kill a claimed investigative role on night 1? I really can't see the logic there, unless you're dirty scum. And what makes you think colton was turned into a zombie? I hope it's more than just a hunch, because that's not sufficient to explain your kill attempt.

I'm definitely leaving my vote (and you forgot to blue yours, by the way).
