maybe Greg can clear this up bc I find the whole game a bit confusing bc it doesn't follow traditional mafia rules

This game follows traditional rules, it's just that the people we consider to be the mafia are actually the "good guys" in the movie that this game is based on. You just have to forget about the connection to the movie to make sense of it.

I agree.. And even if they didn't, a simple trip to Wikipedia would give them whatever information they needed to make a claim.

Im confused though by the rebel and the empire roles.I mean who does the Night kills?Since
the empire dont know who each other is than I find it hard for them to do a night kill and since the rebels are the townies I dont see who them doing night kills either,My only guess is that
there is no night kills only lynching but Im not sure at all....

What is the difference between "killing" and "lynching"? I have basically no idea what I'm doing..

Killing is generally a one-shot action done by a vigilante or other third-party role. It can happen during the day or night. The term is also used to describe the kill that the mafia make at the end of the night phase.

Lynching is the killing of someone by having enough people vote for him. This only occurs at the end of the day phase.

yes thats basically it the twist is that the empire is evil and the rebels are good, so its the same mafia setup just twisted to follow the movie format

Oh, there are killings during the night phase?? That sounds dangerous.. I thought all the killing went on during the day.

Okays, so lynching is the voted-kill by day, and killing is whenever it happens at night. Thanks. :)

bc of how Greg worded it and misread and read into things a bit to much.Im going to
have to reevaluate my choices now that I understand how this game is set up

It is a bit confusing, imho. I was slightly confused, though not enough to make a big deal out of it, and I'm grateful that the discussion took place. FOS? Eh, maybe, but I don't know.

I don't understand why you're pointing the finger at anyone just for failing to understand the setup... that doesn't reveal what character they are one way or the other.

I would say that he FOSed you becuase you said that the empire is pro-town and he is either rebel believing he is pro-town or wants to appear that way.

Um, you do realize that that is a signature scum move right? If you indeed voted no lynch, I will be forced to vote you.

You intend to bandwagon someone because he leads in votes? That right there sounds rather scummy.

It is not like we have any real information to go on.

I dont know , Colton just seems to be reacting to being band wagoned early.I'm starting to think that he might be a imperial citizen and his reaction is just Colton being Colton. Im not sure so Im not totally throwing away the idea him being scummy .If colton is a townie than
that makes me really think that vodean is rebel scum.It does seem like Vodean is bouncing
around from player to player hoping to find a target he can get band wagoned. He also
have made quite a few posts that seem scummy. He attacked me with no reason and than
he attacks Colton for being the first to vote.Than there his first post about not voting
for him bc he is Mace Windu.Im starting to think Vondean is rebel
