Having been playing RISK for quite a while before finding this website, I was surprised at that. At one point it cost me a fortification. The map should be corrected.

there is no reason to change it so they touch. it wont make any real difference, and if u screw up advancing your armies because of it, well thats your own fault for not paying attention...

Solution:

Replace border at E. Africa Middle east with a border from mongolia to kamchatka.

There has always been a lot of debate about wether East Africa connects to the Middle East.
Historically it never has (one had to enter through Egypt and move south). Also, geographically it does not. On top of that the bonus level (3) is one which would have 2 entrances.
I belief the official rules are that it connects, that is how I've played as well.

As for Mongolia to Kamchatka, that needs to be corrected in the next update. It is, after all, what the map of the game is... That's like having an online version of Chess and changing the position of a peice.

kamchatka -> mongolia
