To be honest here I just came back in and got lost in this thread trying to find my post because it doesn't seem to be part of what ever's going on. I can't seem to find the point wading through the first 4+ pages. It's like a bad dream where suddenly I showed up out of no where without being able to be part of what it used to be.
Billy do you want to wipe out the muslems in a region, send them packing, take away their phones and such or what?
You seem a little stuck in a rut but I am curious about your views on regular dudes practicing Islam.
I tried to talk to my brother inlaw when we came back from Egypt once. I was explaining how beautifull the call to prayer was five times a day. I know that Egypt is pretty moderate so it's not a completely unbiased example but my point here was he went Woodruff on me. I know what you're saying about the koran but most muslems leave reading it to the Imam guy and are just family dudes that like to hit the rug to pray. Do they cause concern too because they might turn on you or just the extremists?

billy07 wrote:2dimes, you came into this by implying that i wasn't right in saying the quran is vague and i should've said it was just plain vindictive, which of course it is. you have since backtracked, and if you think muslims don't heed the quran, well.
i have said what i think the solution is and it neither involves moving muslims from anywhere or killing any muslims. i hope that answers your question.

I double dog dare you. Go on, find any complete sentance that tells a christian to kill everyone that won't convert, because as you say they are just like each other.
If the Bible is so direct, clear, lacking in vagueness and unimaginably unable to be taken out of context, then how is it that it keeps getting taken out of context and there are so many arguments over it's meaning, I wonder?
And behold, one of those who were with Jesus reached and drew out his sword, and struck the slave of the high priest and cut off his ear.
Then Jesus said to him, "Put your sword back into its place; for all those who take up the sword shall perish by the sword.
"Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?
It's wonderfull that you can tell the youth the truth about the bible instead of teaching them to read it for themselves. Then they can have the same advantage as you. It's bad to show people actual unsourced quotes from a book instead of just telling them third hand fallsities that claim they are the same thing.
Woodruff wrote:I can "Tell the youth the truth about the Bible"? You do realize that I teach in a public school, right? You do realize that it would be against the law for me to teach any student about any religion, right? You do realize that by using my statement about the Bible to say that it's frightening that I'm teaching children that you're making yourself look like an unrepentant, illogical, irrational, paranoid, raving, Bible-waving lunatic, right?

Same way the other book is supposed to contain a message of perfect love.
2dimes wrote:I allready accused you of not having read them but yeah, that's pretty mysterious.

I'm actually a "repentant, illogical, irrational, paranoid, raving, Bible-waving lunatic."

2dimes wrote:So how's it going finding the call to kill you?
2dimes wrote:It would be just as easy as showing you that the bible wants christians to love everyone wouldn't it?

You've gone from accusing me of not having read either book to stating that something is out of fear. Are you saying I haven't read them out of fear?2dimes wrote:I was answering the specific question you removed from the quote.2dimes wrote:I did not suggest a reason. My position was just that you are not farmiliar with what they actually say, rather you believe what someone has told you they say. At the time I thought that must have been because you didn't read them. I'm starting to believe you might have just not comprehended them. Is that your claim? There's several translations, if you got confused reading one that's not worded like you speak, like "The King James" or "The 2dimes blue letter edition." try a different one. There's a ton online here's a link. http://www.biblegateway.com You can even word search to quickly dispell any myths I espouse here or put a source to my new american standard bible quotes.
