I think we all want to see this change. I don't remember anyone saying the borders were fine as they are.

We're trying to avoid any more posts like this. qwert will give us an updated map at some point and we'll all start fresh, forgetting what happened on the previous 59 pages. If there's anymore need to discuss qwerts attitude or anyone elses for that matter, we should stop clogging up this map thread and take it to the Flame Wars forum.

I thinking so hard, and i come to these decision.

Andy say that my map can not go for play, and hes a man who stand behind hes word.
On other way i write that these map its ABANDONED, and i must stand behind my word. I can change my mine becouse Guiscard wrote "Dont wory guys he dont mine realy, he will change hes opinion just waith you see"

My decision its that Andy put these map in Abandoned area, and after 3 or 4 mont i will open new topic with name WWII EASTERN FRONT NEW BEGINING. I hope that Andy Agree with these. If dont these its end of these project. Thanks for yours atention.

Andy said in its current state he wouldnt quench it.
It is probably not a bad idea for you to take a break from the map. That way everyone can calm down. As long as one day it is finished. It is a good map, but I think everything has got out of hand.
Good luck with the map when you do decide to complete it.

i refuse to see this map abandoned. This map is really good and a very good idea but please please please get oiver your differences and finish it. I reckon if a new map was posted and everybody forgave and forgot then it could be done in a matter of days.

Qwert, I'll put this map on 'Suspended Development' in the Developmental Atlas (I.E. Vacation). And so there isn't any confusion, I'll take this map out of Final Forge for now.

qwert wrote:Your developmental rule have big hole, but that hes create, where map creator not have right, to fight against opinions what not apply for others map.

The developmental guidelines could certainly comment more on the process - that the development will be closely watched and guided by the CC community, and that gameplay and artistic decisions will not always rest with the map creator. And maybe it does say this, but when I began making a map in december I had no idea just how slow and public the process would be.

While this can be frustrating for the creator, it has been very rewarding and empowering to help with other projects. There are two or three other maps in the works that I feel very attached to, and while they aren't "my" maps I have a sense of ownership over them because I know that my contributions and ideas are going into them. This slows the process, but it is good for the site.

Qwert, I think you've been putting together a very good map. I'm sorry I haven't given you any feedback, but everybody can't follow every map. Walk away from it for a couple of weeks, then when you come back you will have new energy to continue. You may even see new things you want to change.

I quite like this map, Qwert, and I hope you get back to it soon enough, but in your own time. I can't wait, good luck. And I think you've made excellent progress.

Don't count on it Qwert ;). Don't try to shove the halt off on my shoulders! ;) Whenever you can/want to get back to working on the map, we all will look forward to it.

Wow.
What else can be said? Having read most of this thread for the first time, I am just stunned this map is not in play.

Seems to boil down to:
1. This map could be made playable with a few suggested changes.
2. qwert needs to understand that on the internet, most people don't say things like "I don't like how the colours complement each other" or "Those borders wouldn't make for a balanced game." Instead they say "This looks like crap" or "That thing is stupid." So don't take it to heart.
3. Everyone seems to want this map made. So just do some changes. No one is attacking your person, they just want the best possible version of YOUR map.

Good luck.

Andy you've got to, he wrote 'DO WHAT IM WROTE IN MESSAGE' in capitals... It doesn't get more persuasive than that!
