There used to be some debate over who was the best #1 of all time. I always thought it was weidsun/kununoki/melinguras/clio, even if he/she/it was a multi. Then for a while there was controversy over the #1s, 'cause they only played doubles/triples. So no one could agree, although a lot of people went with personality. Pilate was a hell of a nice guy, if I recall right.

Well, the debate is over. Nobody needs to debate anymore. Blitz is the best there is, was, and probably ever will be. He wins every game he's in no matter what setup it is, and he's too damn nice to hate for it. What the hell? There's no point in even trying to beat that. It's over baby. Close the site down, there's no need to continue.

well blitz may be the best ,i have played almost 100 games with him and im still a pvt lol he dose not win every game, cause when we lose we like 50 points, when we win and thats 90 percent of the time 8 points per victory. so when you lose 1 game it takes away 6 wins but blitz cmeb4udie osu dcowboys casper and a few others are my core players i am without a doubt a much better player because of there kindness towards me and i thank them all dont worry blitz we will reach 5000 points trust me mulh ha ha ha

How many games it took is a much more important criterion I think.

But anyway, the reason I said it should be # of games instead of # of days is because someone who plays twice as many games at a time wouldn't be better in my book than a person who reached 3000 just after them in # of days. Anyway, it doesn't really matter because you can't go back and calculate how many games the person had when they first reached 3000 (at least not with the ease of how many days it took them)

I think the questions to ask before blowing someone over the internet about there O so fancy CC points, is,,,,, are they earning them like everyone else.
do they open singles games?
do they open singles games with no passwords?
do they always pick partners with score 200%--400% below there own , so they manipulate the system?
when they do play more then 1 other team at a time is it some that isnt there online blow me buddie, with a password?

im not saying blitz isn't a good player... all im saying as i could do what he did quit easily if my only goal was to accumulate "ever so important points"

ITs time to keep track of score in a different way or change this system all together. the creators have done some great things with this place, but at the same time they sometimes act like my grandparents and they fear change. TAKE A VOTE.

... I've never played against you Blitz, and I've only been on CC for a couple weeks but I can't even imagine how much work, time, and ingenuity it took to pull off 4000 points. Because, with ANY system, there will be people manipulating it. Why should I care about that? I see my name on the scoreboard and I know how I got there - that's enough for me, I don't need to prove anyone how I did that, nor do I need proof that some particular player cheat or abuse or manipulate (or not).

Showing that someone cheated and thus taking him down does not make me any better player, does it?

First off, I cant join any more games...Ill continue with whatever tourneys im in, but no longer can put any more time in here...so im going to try and jump in here for everyones interest...

Lack is making this his full time job soon. There are many updates coming. And many things on the to do list...How hes done this much on the side already, I have no idea. In some of the suggestion threads Andy has implied that there will be some options available in the future that may make it possible for high ranks to play lower ranks in some games without the massive huge point penalties in place now....However, it may not be very soon at all...His priorities are in his head, and probably are based on the number of people that have asked for them, and how long they would take to implement...so basically...there may be some adjustments to the point system, but it wont be for a while....

So any changes are going to take some time in any case...thats just how it is.

As far as Blitz goes...he had an objective....Get the most points on the board....so he did everything he could to acheive his goal, and ultimately succeeded.

Im sure he would love to play more singles games and three player games occasionally, but his goal was to gain points so he did...he did everything he had to to achieve his objective, which is what achiving an objective is all about. Gaining points in here is a strategy in and of itself, and no one plays it better than Blitz...his win ratio is ridiculous, and his points are out of the park...

More importantly, he really is a great guy....and this has contributed to his success...Triples is all about teamwork, and his diplomacy is what allows him to win those games...he is a master at coordinating players and getting them to work as a team and win games...Its also why everyone is posting their support

Now if someone asked me who the best player on here was, my only response would be i dont know....the reason being is because there are so many variables, that it would only be a judgement call, based on the info thats available...Im almost sure every top player in here would agree with this....the current scoring system doesnt tell you without a doubt who is the best player...And im not saying the top players arent the best in here, im just saying that among the top players knowing who the best is tough...

Ive played with nearly everyone, some extensively, and though I cant say im as good as them, I am certainly experienced enough to recognize their skill, especially in tight situations...winning 20 games in a row is cool, but pulling a game out that was almost a guaranteed loss is worth 20 wins in my opinion...

Anyways...my suggestion is this....Those interested should continue to discuss some alternatives to the current point system, which can only be a good thing, but instead of worrying about whos doing what and how...focus on viable ways of improving the site for everyone, and if that includes some modifications to the current point system, Id say go for it...I myself do believe it is a little too basic as it is, to be accurate. It also does force people to play certain types of games and that with a few changes, could help improve the site a lot....not to say its broken, but that with some work, could help make a great site even greater

And Dug, you really are a great player...without a doubt one of the best on here...certainly in the games ive played with you....and i completely agree the system needs some refinement, but the problem is Blitz really is a good guy. his actual job is helping people...and he only tries to make the place better...and i think everyone in here would love to see a battle between the two of you....even those who wont admit it...Im pretty sure the two of you would like the opportunity to attack each other in a game....If Lack could find a way to charge for the game, he could retire tomorrow...except that he'd have to buy a new server to handle the spam that would be in the game chat....and he will play you...all he is asking is you dont personally attack him for playing the game...He knows youre a good player....everyone does...and if there was a comedy score yours would probably be at the top, but unfortunately not everyone feels like dealing with negativity, and he doesnt either...most know its mostly for show, but others take it seriously

If you really want to show him up...beat him...do whatever you have to do, play whatever games you have to play, and become the top scorer...thats what the game is all about....You had just turned major when you charged for the generals badge, and you got to general quick....so there is no question you can do it if you go for it...Play 100 freestyle triples and coordinate your turns and wait till the last minute to do it, and you are practically guaranteed 800 points right there...everyone knows this...show everyone how ridiculous it really is...

but im begging you both not to let this turn into another Dug vs. Blitz battle in the forums...it just wont get anything done, and will just annoy everyone

There has been a lot of discussion on who the best is on CC, and I know that many recognize me as the best evidenced by the plethera of pm's I get, and this is flattering, but for what it is worth, my opinion is, who are the names that can play in mulit faceted games, a huge variety, all maps, and all styles, and very versatile, the names I come up with are osujacket, maniacmath17, blitzaholic and scorba, and not in that order, just basing this on experience and my opinion, certainly several others can easily be included in their like rl orange, zawbanjito, etc, but the players who have given me the most challenging fits are osujacket, scorba, mike doherty and the entire bushwackers clan (all them are super) so, it is very difficult to say, let the players decide, it really doesn't matter, just have fun
