Beersurfer, it's happened to me. I had to "suck it up", and I was pissed the first time because I didn't know about the rule. I had the same sort of WTF! experience that you did.
I agree, this thing needs to be advertised more, for many reasons, but do you REALLY think you wouldn't have played team games had you known? And I know it's a pain to check every partner, but when you play over 10 games with someone, it's hard to chaulk that up to "he just joined and our first game was cool".
Let me explain it in another light:
So you want the mods to fix this. OK, they are gonna have to make a special case for you. You had TEN games, is the guy with ONE game any less needy of help? OK, lets change the rule, then there are a host of other issues to deal with. (see previous post) No matter how you change the rule, shit is gonna fly and stick somewhere. Did you get screwed? Of course! But what is the PURPOSE of this rule? To reign beau-coup punishment on multi's, which are the number one problem in CC (besides these fucking dice LOL).
And just becuase you DIDN"T know doesn't mean that the people who DID know they were playing with a cheater should get off light due to a change in this rule.
The rule will assist the CC community in policing itself because no-one will want to get screwed like we did. Yea it's harsh but that's life. And why I only partner with people I KNOW for multiple games or tourniments now.
PS, BTW, "Up to Snuff" is a saying meaning up to par, or up to inspection, etc.
