What was it you said that I "shouted down" (I'm having a difficult time seeing myself "shout down" anyone, for what it's worth)? I ask, because your post doesn't reference it, and it doesn't APPEAR to be a response to MeDeFe, who posted just above you.

Yes it was a response to MeDeFe's post.

A couple months back, in a thread (I believe it was about the bannings) I stated that I felt a mod should not post personal views and opinions and should tread a neutral line in the non-clan forums. I meant this for societal issues and not so much CC issues, but I may not have made that clear at the time. I have seen mods insult players and also flame them if they disagree with a players views.

Perhaps "shouting down" was not the correct terminology, but I received numerous responses mostly from the vocal right.

I still feel the mods should be able to express their personal opinions so long as it's not during the actual carrying out of their mod duties. And I DO hope you're not including me in the "vocal right". <laughing>
