sinctheassasin Posts Ad's For CC on LandGrab, Allowed?

I'm a member of both ConquerClub and LandGrab, I think it's ok to enjoy both sites. I would think that posting ads on either site for the other would be very bad form and disrespectful to the Site owners.

Yet, a member here at CC posts ads on LandGrab like this:

These childish posts reflect poorly on Conquer Club and a member trying to impersonate LackAttack is very bad form.

Edit: It has come to my attention that the LandGrab, "SincTheassasin" is not the same guy as Conquer Club's "sinctheassasin". I have to assume that is someone that doesn't like CC's "sinctheassasin".

As you can see from my profile, I created this account almost 1 year ago (Nov 18, '08) and I have played 3 games here:
5419246, 5419554, 5465483, I lost/was elminated from all 3.
So no, I'm not a multi and I did not "just create this account to report this".

Other Risk sites aren't taboo here... they get brought up from time to time. We are just confident that we are the best of them all, and I guess sinc wants us to have a bigger community.

Unless there's a rule against ads on your forum, I don't see a problem here.

Why would you come do this? We don't come to Conquer Club and advertise for Landgrab. You sir, are the scum of the earth.

Most of us have been to or came from Conquer Club and we left because:
1) CONQUER CLUB MAPS ARE NOT CLICKABLE, YOU HAVE TO FIGURE OUT THE NAMES AND THIS MAKES IT TEDIOUS TO PLAY THERE
2) The way it is run is oppressive, no freedom of expression
3) The members tend to be more immature
4) You have to know CSS to make maps and even then, only if you get "Special Approval" for your map. Here, we are all free to make maps, or have fun trying.
5) Our Admins are much nicer. They are our friends.
6) Did I mention the non-clickable maps? Who the hell wants to play on maps where I have to read all the small print to figure out which territory to reinforce to???????????

So no sir, go back to Counquer Club and tell them, we've tried it, we've found better!

I just find it annoying that this LandGrab site is small enough to fly under Hasbro's radar with a Classic and Middle Earth map, not to mention other copyrighted material such as a Millennium Falcon map...

Thanks guys for your responses. They seem to be listening to you RedBaron, take a look at what they have for #3

Most of us have been to or came from Conquer Club and we left because:
1) CONQUER CLUB MAPS ARE NOT CLICKABLE, YOU HAVE TO FIGURE OUT THE NAMES AND THIS MAKES IT TEDIOUS TO PLAY THERE
2) The way it is run is oppressive, no freedom of expression. People are banned for the smallest of infractions.
3) Our most popular map is here is the classic risk one, THEY DON'T HAVE ANYTHING LIKE IT. The site owner claims he's nervous of legal action by Hasbro.
4) You have to know CSS to make maps and even then, only if you get "Special Approval" for your map. Here, we are all free to make maps, or have fun trying.
5) Our year's membership is $5 less, ($20 vs. $25).
6) Our Admins are nicer. They join games with us and know us on a personal basis.
7) Did I mention the non-clickable maps? Who the hell wants to play on maps where I have to read all the small print to figure out which territory to reinforce to???????????

I never once publicly mentioned CC at GS. If it came up in normal conversation with another player occasionally though, I feel there is nothing at all wrong with that.

Nope, I played several turns in two of those games before I borged out. I had created that last game myself, but by the time it filled up, I was camping and completely borged out without taking any turns. I'm not a multi, I just mostly play at LandGrab. But I respect Brian/LackAttack and the Admins here so I don't want to get into any "one site is better" stuff. Brian and the Admins have done a fabulous job here and it shows.

Feel free encourage the administrators and volunteers at the website to discipline users on their site accordingly. If things get really out of hand---I.E. users from Conquer Club repeatedly trolling/harassing etc, we can look into taking some measures.

i just searched my name in the forums to find any other posts that stoneham has made about me all in one place. i stumbled across this and clicked out of curiosity, since i am not a very well known player here, and not that many people care about me or my actions.

however, i can assure your that your sinctheassasin is different from cc's sinctheassasin.

why whoever made the account under my name did so, i do not know.

in live chat, while discussing mods, i asked what where the chances of me becoming one to t-o-m. he spoke "very slim" due to a "landgrab scandle"

i had assumed that what he was talking about was my thread about strategygamenetwork's classic maps, along with other sites and hasbro's copyright definition.
after searching i realize this must have been what he was talking about.

i would agree with that it is in very bad taste. but there is not much we can do about it besides banning him here but he could still post those threads there.

possibly, a landgrab user, maybe this "surrendur monkey" himself saw my thread, and posted something under my name, just for the sake of coming back here and trying to get me banned so that i wouldent talk about their classic maps again. after all, i did say i was going to contact hasbro about their site, right? i would be pretty pissed if i created an account on landgrab only to find threads about them contacting some company or another about some legal thing cc forgot.

There would be an investigation to make sure the real parties are punished, should they ever need to be punished, and if they are using CC as a means to troll other website.

We are aware that users often sign up as a rival/friend/interesting person on other websites for any number of reasons.

well if there arent any new developments on this "sinctheassasin" copycat on their threads, i really have no problem, as long as people aren't accusing me. I got pretty pissed in live chat when people where yelling at my for the "landgrab scandle"

however, if there are more posts from this account, i would like to see this "investigation" go forward. but i assume through the fact that posting more would get an investigation that could probably prove me innocent, that this person, whether it is a rival of me on this site, a friend trying to cause chaos, or a landgrab member concerned about their classic map, will stop posting. or at least, i hope that this is the case
