strike wolf wrote:So in the end I did finish Star Wars: Force Unleashed before I returned it. Though it took me a bit fighting the Emperor (I'd say the cheapest character in the game). I have to say that the ending did tick me off a bit, though overall I have to say this is my favorite Star Wars game that I have played.
I found the emperor surprisingly easy to beat.
He was when I figured out his rhythm but he kept spamming the lightning. THat and the way you play the wii is different from PS3 or Xbox 360 for Force Unleashed makes it harder to get used to.

THis event happened earlier tonight. What is it? It was my sensei asking me to test for ichkyu ONLY FOUR MONTHS AFTER I TESTED FOR NIKYU! Really took surprised me especially as i have jsut barely finished learning all the material for Ichkyu. I'm happy to be testing but honestly this is probably the first time I've ever felt nervous about a test in karate ever. I say ever twice just to show you how serious I am. It's a really big deal as I think this would be the fastest anyone in our dojo has ever been promoted to ichkyu after their test for Nikyu (assuming I pass of course)

Wait... Itchy what?

muy_thaiguy wrote:Agreed. Wish there could have been a 3rd ending to it. Hopefully, the next Star Wars game will be just as fun. (No new ones that I know of yet, but you can pretty well count on there being more made)
Yeah I'm looking forward t omore on with the wii as I thought using the wii mote for the lightsaber and the nunchuk for force push was awesome. Would you agree that the Emperor was the cheapest character?
Cheapest? Not exactly the word I had in mind. But certainly required a different approach then the other boss battles. Such as mainly using force lightning on him then almost anything else.
Really? Lightning only seemed to work on him in a force push lightning ball combination for me. The reason I think he's cheap is that he spammed the hell out of the lightning techniques...
He's supposed to lightning spam, that's his thing. He didn't even pull out his lightsaber in episode VI.
True but I found it annoying as hell especially when he did it through the floor.

Was Sankyu before Nikyu? Shikyu before Sankyu?
It's gokyu to yankyu to sankyu to nikyu to Ichkyu to shodan. Translation green belt to green belt w/ red stripe to 1st degree brown to 2nd degree brown to 3rd degree brown to black belt 1st dan.
AAARGH ALL THESE YU'S ARE CONFUSING ME!
What about the kyus?

I love how they always get a gun of some sort... Like THAT'S going to help them...
maybe they feel more comfortable but really i would much rather have an atom bomb if an assasin was after me!!! have it straped to me and if my heart stoped BOOOOOM!!!!! yep M.A.D. is the way to go
pah. I'd tranq him and deactivate the bomb while he was out cold.
What if he was holding a dead-man switch?
Than I'd be far far away when it went off. Did you know I own that sniper from Wanted?

Though, currently a Red Belt in, I guess you could call it American Freestyle. Which includes Judo, Aikido, Muay Thai, Boxing, Wrestling, Krav Maga, Jiu-Jitsu (more American and Japanese, as Brazilian is more for smaller statured people), Combat Hapkido, Kenpo Karate, a little Tae Kwon Do, and various weapons.
Is "Kick 'em In The Nuts And Run Like Hell" a fighting style?
IT's part of many fighting styles though I've always found the step to the side, catch the arm and break to be a more effective way to win the fight.

That was actually my first Wii console game. Loved it.
It was good but not great, though part of the reason I had trouble was because I usually hold the wii mote left handed and my aim with my right is awful.

Yeah if I bought all the games I've been renting lately I'd have spent a shitload of money. Renting does get pricy when you rent a bunch but it's been worth it so far. RIght now I do plan on buying Star Wars: Force Unleashed and probably Super Smash Bros. Brawl eventually.
If you do get SSBB, (assuming that you have a wireless connection to your Wii) gimme your friend code and we can brawl sometime.
I do have wifi at my house but I don't know the password. :brickwall:

I hold with my left hand also. Although I've never played that game before...

what did you expect more from hollywood
To at least follow along the actual story line and not start Goku off as a senior in high school but as a 12 year old kid in the mountains. Granted, I expected it would be terrible, but there should be a limit on butchering good stories.
they always do that! thats why i hate hollywood
Never, ever, EVER watch live action versions of anime.
I don't know. If its' done right avatar live action may work out alright.

strike wolf wrote:Ok so I have officially seen the new Harry Potter movie and i am...
Not overly impressed.
It was a decent movie but could have definitely benefitted from proper editting. Too much non-essential scenes not enough of the action and plot that occured in the book. overall superior to most of the movies but well inferior to the 5th movie. My biggest problem was how they cut the end fight so short. It was much grander and better in the book.
I was hoping to see that movie soon.
IF you like the books or likedd the 5th movie you should probably still go I was just disappointed with it.
Yes I loved the books. I should probably reread some of the books though, I read them so fast I'm getting facts confused.
I had a hard time remembering who R.A.B. was when the initials came out at the end of the movie but I remember now.
