I just realized that players who are not the creator of a game can invite others. I'm not sure how I feel about that. Obviously it makes sense in a team game setting because the second team needs to get their fellow teammates in, but in standard types of games I'm not sure I like that. I'd rather with the standard games it was limited to only the game creator having the ability to do invites.
That's just me though, it probably won't be a big problem in the end.
I'm now stuck with 12 open games, while in the middle of three tourneys which the game I can no longer join. (along with other tourneys that I joined right after recieving "free" premium) And I cannot complete ANY of the offers, because they all require a credit card.

I agree with OP, and with it I suggest that in team games, a player can only invite people to join their team — if that's not already what happens, that is.

I almost got caught in the same position. Luckily I waited ta while cos it just seemed too good to be true.... and it was.

lol.... all 10 minutes or so of it. But why is it that I only get one offer showing from trial pay when before there were 42 of them before??????

Not altogether sure about invites to team2 being sent by anyone other than the creator, but we'll see. It could be open to abuse, if someone with a grudge against the creator sent an invite to a friend, at the same time asking that friend not to accept it. then repeated the stunt every 24 hrs, the game would never get started.
it was too good to be true. Luckily nothing bad happened to me...didnt start alot of games.....but now i cant get the "free" premium. all the offers want me to buy something or i do something or i have to use a credit card....which i dont have. If you can provide a way to really get free premium, ill be the first to try it out. i really want premium!
Just used this for the first time in tournaments and it appears to have worked well as the first player is in. We'll see if the second makes it in in 24 hours (tends to run slower)
i like this new invite feature, i have had to many games get deleted waiting around for teammates and/or opponents to join, now i can send them auto join much easier
If you wrong me I will hunt you down and destroy you.
Is there a way for a freemium to invite players so long as it is for tournoment uses only? cause it seems like it is a more seemless way to get players to join quicker, it's just...i can't use it. just some other attachment to the tourny prileges package. thanks
So am I to get a refund for my membership I PAID for a few days ago? Those of us that pay each had to caught up 25 dollars. Your only getting a fraction of that through trialpay. The rest of us deserve our money back. And before you claim you make the same amount with the trialpay partnership I should inform you that I've had a partnership of the same sorts with them and its not fair to paying customers to accent a dollar or two for membership from some people while charging the rest of us 25 dollars. Trialpay also has a very, very bad reputation with rewards never being given and some of their "offers" actually installing virii and spyware in the guise of toolbars and wallpapers. As I said before, I'd like my refund now.
giantrascal - you should be able to send ivitations to your tournament games from the game finder, as long as you have the tourney privs for those tournaments.
gman2725 - Your assumption that we only get a small fraction of the amount is wrong, but even if that was the case I disagree that it is unfair. You felt that $25 was a fair price for the benefits of Premium Membership and we are delivering what you paid for and now more. And I'm sure a large majority will continue to pay $25 via credit card moving forward. As for TrialPay not honouring rewards or installing spyware, if that turns out to be a problem with us we will re-evaluate our partnership with them.
Crissipos - Are you looking on the My Games -> Awaiting Players screen? Do you have any casual games there with -empty- spots?

Yup i tried. I went to the "Game Finder," typed in my tournoment and got the 6 games to show up, clicked the invite button, typed in a user name to send the invite to, then got this message: Free members cannot send game invitations - please consider Premium Membership
I have tried this with every absent member (in their respective games), but not one went through.
now I have an inbox full of invites. How do I stop the invites from coming in?
I forgot to mention that there is a new item under Game Settings to block invites. I'll update the announcement...
