Round 6: Teams Crouching Beaver Hidden Python and Generation One II now have a final score of 8-8.

That makes the quads games best of 3 for the win, the score will stay 8-8.

The scores and results for round 9 have been updated, see page 1.

We are nearing the end, but I'm afraid I cannot update the standings yet, since teams Crouching Beaver Hidden Python and Generation One II are still playing a deciding game in round 6....

The scores, results and standings of round 6 have been updated.

I also updated the standings for rounds 7 and 8, although the standings for round 8 are not definite yet.

There are still 10 games ongoing in rounds 8 and 9. I will post the final standings for round 9 after all those games have finished because some teams are still fighting for position.

For the updated standings, go to page 1, second post.

No mate, I think Gen.1 have won this, much is the pity.

If we met them on the street we'd have them - we utilized all 6 players (+ 1 sub) whereas they opted for just 4.

I'm not going to give definite results yet guys, just remember it's the amount of wins that count. The points are only used if teams have the same amount of wins....

The last win has been decided. There are still 7 games ongoing, however there is only one that will have any impact on the final standings: Game 4784442

It is the quads game between teams Legion of the Damned and LFAW's Legion in round 8. The 4 points from that game will decide the third place after round 8, see below (Legion of the Damned already has 9 points):

This game will also decide positions 5 and 6 after round 9 (the final round).

In the final standings 7 out of the 10 teams WILL change the positions they have after round 8!

Therefor I ask you to still bear with me until the game mentioned above is finished, before I publish the final standings.

There are still 4 games going on, however they are all but decided or will not affect the final standings.

Which means that we have a winner: Generation One!

I have also named an MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the tournament. Not only did he play all possible 54 games, he won 36 (67%) of them:

I have enjoyed this tournament very much, I hope you all did as well. I thank you all for your participation. I plan to set up a second edition in the near future, I hope to see you there!

Finally, I would like to dedicate this first edition of the tournament to Beagle Brigade, who sadly left us for a better place during this tournament. He was a member of the Team "Gray Matters". Rest in peace brother.

Agreed. It was a bit rough off the bat, but ended up being one of the best tourneys I've ever played in. It didn't hurt that my team won 8 straight rounds.

Thanks Everyone we played against. There was some very stiff competition here. Most of all, a HUGE thank you to Lindax for making it happen.

Well done to Gen.I for taking the title - we certainly tried to give you a run for your money, but losing that head-to-head was the killer. Thanks to all the other teams too for making this a fun, challenging tourney, but biggest thanks go to Lindax for running it all so well. Interesting format, well-updated, and with a fantastic break-down of each fixture's results which kept the interest levels high. Really good job mate, thank you =D>

The crouching beavers and hidden pythons shall return (if I can find them)

Previously I named BaldAdonis from Generation One as MVP of this tournament. To my great shame I forgot somebody:

Tripitaka form Generation One II accomplished the same feat: playing all 54 games and winning 36 of them!

So, the official TLO 2009 Most Valuable Players are:

Tripitaka (Generation One II)

and

BaldAdonis ( Generation One)

My sincere apologies to Tripitaka.
