FYI to the new players:

A counter claim means that scum has claimed your role and you need to claim to prove them wrong.

If you are a cop, claim so now.

People who still have there vote on CW...... we'll lets see who come up with the excuse of "oh I was away from my computer"

We still need to hear from everyone before I offically clear you, but only 2 or 3 peole haven't, so you look legit. people who do not post now look more like scum then anyone. Especially people who are not posting and still have their vote on CW.

6 people need to vote no lynch to get one, and I do not think, nor do I want, that to happen. In a 10 player game, it is basically 3 scum and 7 town to start.

No lynch:

1) If you vote no lynch, our protection guesses right, and our investigator misses, it s still 7 v 3, and it is like day 1 all over again. This would really suck.
2)If you vote no lynch, our protection guesses right, and our investigator hits, it 7 v 3, and With lots of information.Best scenerio.
3) If you vote no lynch, our protection guesses wrong, and our investigator misses, it s 6 v 3, and it is like day 1 all over again. This would really suck more and the most probable outcome.
4)If you vote no lynch, our protection guesses wrong, and our investigator hits, it s still 6v 3, and we have information, but we are down a player.

With an incorrect lynch:

1) If you vote lynch incorrectly, our protection guesses right, and our investigator misses, it s 6 v 3, and we have information to work with.
2) If you vote lynch incorrectly, our protection guesses right, and our investigator hits, it s 6 v 3, With lots of informaiton
3) If you vote lynch incorrectly, our protection guesses wrong , and our investigator misses, it s 5v 3, and we have information to work with.
4) If you vote lynch incorrectly, our protection guesses wrong, and our investigator hits , it s 5v 3, and we have information to work with.

With a correct lynch:

1) If you vote lynch correctly, our protection guesses right, and our investigator misses, it s 7 v 2, and we have information to work with.
2) If you vote lynch correctly, our protection guesses right, and our investigator hits, it s 7 v 2, With lots of informaiton **** Best of All***
3) If you vote lynch correctly, our protection guesses wrong , and our investigator misses, it s 6v 2, and we have information to work with.
4) If you vote lynch correctly, our protection guesses wrong, and our investigator hits , it s 6v 2, and we have information to work with.

The best average outcome occurs with any type of lynch. Voting no lynch can get the game ended really fast in a bad way.

Assumming there is a dr., and he does not get messed with (like bus driver, roleblocker, ect.) he has a 1 out of 9 chance of protecting the right person, but he will prolly protect CW.

CW has a 3 out of 9 chance of guessing the right person to investigate.

The probability without information from the game of either of these two things happening is slim, and both happening is almost 0.

The information in the game from players and the way they act will help some but can also be misleading. The role of cop is really only usefull after day 1 because there is a lot more information and your ability to guess as to who to investigate greatly increases your chance of getting a mafia member.

in conclusion, we need a lynch.

I agree with you suspect. Good outline too. The town might get hurt by a lynch, but it is more useful to have one than not.

Right now i'm looking at neanderpaul as scum. He only voted after CW had claimed to hold a power role. I think he saw how big of a threat CW was and voted on him, not knowing how scummy this would make him look (he is a newbie after all). I'd at least like to get a little more out of neanderpaul's reasoning before I take my vote off.

My reasoning for voting for CW is that I was led to believe you were not supposed to disclose your roles publicly, therefore his insistence that he is a cop leads me to the logical conclusion that he must be mafia.

I'm extremely reluctant to vote. As suspect pointed out, our best scenario as town comes from lynching someone. However, with CW's role claim, I don't want to vote for him because it could severly hurt the town if he's telling the truth. With no counter claim it leads me to believe that he probably is telling the truth (or if there is a second cop they are afraid to have both cops claimed on the first day). I really don't know what to do simply because it seems like we need a lynch yet there isn't a good choice. Are there inactives we could prod along with a few votes maybe? I'm assuming inactives (even townies) don't really help? Last question...somebody mentioned a "bus driver" role in a post. I know they weren't saying someone was in here, but I've never heard of that role...what is it?

I was thinking about unvoting, investigating CW during the night, and coming back with a result the next day, to be safe in case CW really is a cop, but I've decided to claim now because I don't want to claim when the town is in a mylo situation, because that just causes too much confusion.

PMC is not a new player and I doubt to cops would be in the same game, unless 1 of them is a mafia cop.

If CW is a real cop, we lynch AA tomorrow. This gives us lots of information, the kind we need.

It does not matter which one we lynch, AA or CW, either way we get the same information, but CW has been acting reall scummy, especially with the 1/2 claims that could give him an out.

Did any of you guys consider that maybe one of them is a paranoid or naive cop? Maybe neither of them are actual cops. If one or the other are one these options, it would justify having more than one cop.

I'll vote Ace anyway though just to be sure. CW already has enough votes for a deadline lynch. I would like to keep the votes b/w AA and CW pretty close though in case some sort of evidence pops up last minute and we want to switch our votes to the other. This happened in the lord of the rings game and we ended up lynching gandalf by accident.

Why would I lie about this? If I am scum, and you are town, I am sure to be lynched tomorrow. A cop for scum trade is good for town. I have been in a situation before where there were two cops, I was a cop, and I counter-claimed the other cop. Check Simon Viavant's "C9" for details.

Good point. Nothing in my role PM indicates that I am not sane, but it is not explicitly stated that I am sane either.

I refuse to vote for a claimed cop, this seems to be a move orchestrated by the scum. I don't know if we would have two cops or not, but two people claim to be cops and everyone votes for them? I don't get it. My guess is that one is a real cop and one is an insane cop (not both real cops). Or you all could be right and at least one is a mafia member who is lying to us, but I don't think it's worth the risk.

Btw, there are so many roles out there I hadn't even considered before those mafiascum links. Insane cops, bus drivers, role blocker, vigilante, etc. It's so much more complicated than I initially thought!

I think the whole point is that the insane cop is trying to help the town but really messes things up. If you investigate a townie (the most likely scenario) the result comes back as mafia and you convince everyone to lynch him. Then that person turns out to be a townie and everyone turns on you for lying. They lynch the insane cop who also turns out to be town. Seems to be a devastating blow, and something we need to be very careful of. But the point is, I think your role would always tell you that you are a cop and nothing more. If it said "insane cop" there wouldn't be much of a twist!

In any case, I think the cops could provide some useful information if they are able to investigate someone. If the real cop investigates a townie that townie will then trust the real cop 100%. If there is an insane cop though I guess it throws a monkey wrench into this whole debacle.
