But I agree with sully about the lack of information when there is not a lynch. The game becomes interesting after that lynchs. Say "No lynch" is boring, is scummie and I don't like at all.

Besides, since it's probably that the early lynchs can be townies, this is not bad per se to town, since it's utter worthy information in further days. I played a game where the first 2 days were lynched town, but the town could win in d3 because is easy to find scum. I say that not because it's bwouled be an ideal scenario, but to show that a lynch is the only way to town to win, no matter the mislynchs.

Do you all really think that I am scum because I voted no lynch, or are you all just scum trying to keep the mafia's near perfect record of getting townies on day one? Why is is seen as scummy for someone to realize that the odds are about 60-70% of us getting a townie if we lynch today, but closer to 50% if you factoer in cops and other roles if we wait to lynch tomarrow. This is a perfect example. If you lynch me, the town goes the whole rest of the game missing a ____ (I'm not about to claim just yet, but I am a pro town power role). And now, because of this bandwagon, I could easily be forced to claim, the mafia would learn my weakness, and be ableto kill me, provided that you lot, don't kill me first just because I am too carefull.
If this was a game where only the majority lynch was lynched and if you didn't reach a majority there was a no lynch, I would not be worried, but Stroop, Ace, who now seem very scummy, just made me realize that all it takes to lynch is the mafia all voting for one person right at the deadline.
All that being said, if Ace, Stroop, and falkomagno don't unvote, and I do get lynched, lynch one of them tomarrow, cause lynching a claimed power role is like the biggest scum tell out there.

He just claimed to have a power role thats pro town and without any discussion you immediately vote for him?!?! I know that this is your first game, but I just find that absolutely stupid. I know he could be lying (in fact, I find his willingness to admit he has a power role very suspicious) but at least wait for some sort of questioning or something.

No lynch is bad for town. But since this is a newbie game anyway, I am considering trying it to illustrate what I mean. :-k

And say that that happened. Say fuzzy pengui and sully are scum and quick-lynch you right now. You die, which could be a loss for the town, but we gain the very valuable information that sully and pengui are probably scum. You shouldn't care; you will still win with the town even if you're dead. Meanwhile, our day 2 and 3 lynches probably do catch scum. 2 out of 3 is not bad if you consider that only about 1/4 or 1/3 of the players are scum. After that we probably have enough information to catch any remaining scum and maybe third party. That is one of the ways for a day one townie lynch to help us win the game.

Common, I don't want to have to full claim, but I will give a partial claim. I am a townie, as I already stated, and my role does involve some investigation powers, but I have a catch, which I will not say, or else the mafia will be able to kill me. This makes me a target for a night kill, but unless they know something extra, Idon't think they would try it.
I will not say who I plan to investigate, but hopefully I will get some good info and we can lynch tomarrow.

If you are telling the truth, you're gonna be dead by morning. I doubt the mafia would want any investigations even if there is an unknown catch involved.

And if you are lying (and you are actually scum trying to avoid lynching), then you are just gonna get lynched tomorrow when you have no information to give us.

I think that CW's claim is fake. An investigation role with built in protection, highly doubtful?

This is what he is REALLY doing. If he were the investigator, the mafia would kill him tonight. If he was scum, he would be around tomorrow and claim that his protection must have saved him, then give false evidence about another player.

This is the other thing he is doing. Anyone who wants his full "claim" he can start a bandwagon on that person and say he must be scum because he wants him to full claim and that would take away his "protection".

I also notice that stroop unvoted, interesting because in other games I remember you keeping your vote on a person for this reason. He was at L-1 when you came to the conclusion of the unvote, any other vote would have lynched him, nice move to protect your scum buddy while still trying to look protown.

I do not believe CW's claim. And the deadline is comming, so you may want to full claim soon.

Your attemp of defence is weak. and you idea of No lynch in Day 1 is anti town. There is not any sense to not lynch the most scummier player right now, because it's the only way to town to get true information and be able to win.

Better convince us to lynch any other one, and be clear about your role, because I just see an obscure claim given to not be counter-claimed. in fact, I'ts the kind of claim that scum would say to avoid a counter claim .

I don't like very vague claims, because any old scum can just claim something very vague and not be counter-claimed on it. I don't fully trust CW's claim atm.

If you aren't going to tell us everything, at least give us the name of your role. Yes, you claimed a power role, but not a specific role. Any mafia member can state that they are a power role. It helps the town more if people claim specific roles that can be counter-claimed.

My vote stays on CW unless CW convinces me otherwise.

Well, hmm... this is frustrating. I don't know what to do. I suppose that I will assume there is a doctor, but I'm pissed that you all forced me to claim. I'm just a cop, no strings attached. I was sort of trying to not make it so I would get night killed, but now I just need a doctor or whatever to protect me, I guess.

This is not just frustrating, but confusing. You claim to be an investigator with some unknown amount of night protection and the possible additional protection of a doctor. Now you are saying that you are the cop and you have no night protection at all? Why the change in story?

This really seems to be a false role claim. At first you were afraid to give details, probably because you weren't sure what role to pretend to be. Now you have changed your story and claim to be a cop (which could be easily countered by someone else, but we don't need two cops claiming on day 1 please!). Just the same, people who want to lynch a claimed cop are mightily suspicious themselves. I'd say we should not lynch captain now, and then if he lives through the night without any accurate information he must be scum. If there is a doctor he can be protected, and then tomorrow he can tell one of us our role description. If the description is accurate he is confirmed as the cop. Right?

Unless he gives a fake role description of one of his mafia members, who will then say "why yes, I am a vanilla townie named John". ](*,)

Anyway, I really don't think it makes sense to be lynching a claimed cop. The fact that there are still so many votes for captain makes me worried...

At first it sounded kinda fake because I wanted the mafia to be unsure, which I hoped would stop from being night killed, but then I gave up and full claimed.

wow. I am skeptical of his claim, yet I'm reluctant to vote for him in the small chance he could be telling the truth. Losing a cop would hurt the town badly. However, even if he does survive the night, would we trust his investigations? It's such a hard choice to make.

Well, you probably don't have to make the choice, since I'm due to be lynched unless the mob backs of, which I doubt. Voting no lynch is the best thing to do, that way I can live, investigate someone, probably one of the people wanting to lynch me, and then tell you all who is scum. Sounds like a good plan, eh?

Cops generally get a "innocent" or "guilty" result and no other information about the role.
