Clickable Maps certainly aren't a cheat. That being said...

I don't play freestyle...I hate it. But even more than that, I hate Clickable Maps. I tried it a while ago, and just did not enjoy using it.

So if lackattack adds it to the site, I sincerely hope he's going to still make it OPTIONAL...I'd hate to have to go play at another site simply because Clickable Maps was added without the ability to opt-out of it.

If your not playing freestyle clickies doesn't even help you. I got it because I played a little freestyle, now I'm just used to it. I hardly play freestyle except for the speed ass doodle I was playing, and everyone in those games had it so no one was surprised. Most of my games now are seq., but I would hate to have to go back to different controls now that im used to this.

On a lighter note, one time I beat a guy in a fog game. He asked how I had so many more armies than him, so I told him that I bought extra armies off of lack before the game. He went to C&A and accused me of cheating : )

yet another reason to avoid freestyle...

Most who don't play freestyle just want to stay away from these kind of gimmicks

Ideally, instead of constantly ferrying new users to scripts and addons, I'd rather just see Clickable Maps a feature of the website. I think that would solve a number of problems, and would make for an overall more enjoyable website and game play experience for a number of users.

As I said, as long as it's an OPTION on the website, and not a REQUIREMENT.

thinking about it. although im not a very experienced user, i have noticed a divide with freestyle and sequential. i think it would be a really cool idea to have 2 separate leader boards for sequential and freestyle, then you can see how you rank up in both?

good idea?

Well, my computer cannot take firefox and I don't currently have the funds for a new one. I have bought a premium here on CC, but I think if I had to face a bunch of folks like you who used tools not available to me, then I would not have joined.

What kind of computer "cannot take Firefox"? Some old Apple or what? AFAIK If it can take IE it can take Firefox. I could be wrong. At any rate this will be a rare exception, and not really part of the issue.

This has been discussed in other threads. I cannot find the link (not worth my time to look) and have no idea if it will or will not happen. Try checking the "pending ideas" thread to see if there is anything mentioned, if you are curious.

Try not all of us have computers we bought in the past 2 years (yeah, I know that is a strange concept). This is particularly true for us "older" members, who, though we don't always come here in the forums are often premium. Technically, I can use Firefox, but it causes a lot of problems with many programs I need to use all the time. Even so, I don't have the space on my computer for those add-ons. Just accepting the automatic update of Explorer 8 caused my computer to crash. Luckily they had free support. It took the technician over 3 hours to clear my computer.

There are 2 levels of CC membership. Paid/premium and unpaid/"freemium". Having these add-ons effectively creates another, completely unofficial, level of membership. I don't get hung up on points and don't play freestyle any longer for other reasons, but that this give some people an advantage that others, even paid members do not have just does not seem right.

I don't get the arguments.... It's a legal script... I see cheating as breaking the rules, but the rules allow it. It is an advantage but it is no different than someone having an advantage because their internet speed is higher...

Does that mean that a person who has a high speed connection playing against someone who has a dial-up connection is cheating because they can move faster? Of course not! I don't use CM but I don't see it as cheating either.

Seems simple enough eh? For some reason your logic defies a lot of people. Maybe it has to do with being dropped on their heads as infants.
