Sounds like you've changed a setting in Firefox somewhere... something to do with GM data etc.

Hi guys,

I'm new here to CC (joined up at the end of Jan 2009) and I've just downloaded and installed BOB (version : 4.7.1) - it's AWESOME! Really impressed, it's great work and adds loads of things I wished I'd had before. :D =D>

I read through the Help/Info section right off to get me started and I noticed that a few things from the latest versions are missing in the documentation:

    From the SITE MENU
      - Overview and Site Menu Options
        - Auto BOB (On/Off)
      - Site Options
        - Small Avatars (On/Off)
        - Hide Signatures (On/Off)
        - Confirm Drop (On/Off)

I know these aren't really programming bugs but I thought it might be helpful to let you know for the sake of completion of your already excellent help files.

I also know the first point about Auto BOB is covered in the first post of this thread which gives details on the current version release, but I thought you might want it in the help files too.

The Small Avatars and Hide Signatures options are pretty self explanitary however I've yet to play around with the Confirm Drop option.

If, as I can imagine, you're pushed for time and you'd like me to help in any way in writing the documentation (I'm a sw technical author by trade) pm me and I'll draw up a draft for you to approve. I'd be more than pleased to do my little bit for this cool plug-in :geek:

Happy coding,
Hav.

I am having a problem once BOBajax is down loaded, when enabled and i proceed into a game there is a carbon copy of the troop numbers next too each other, seeing double sort of speak with only the troop numbers, very hard on the eyes..lol, everything else runs fine, not sure if this is useful information but i am needing all my add-ons because i went to a new computer, my old comp. @350MB had no issues so that tells me that this one at 4G should be that much better, i have tried uninstalling 3 times and doing the process again but get the same results, the 3 other add ons work trouble free(glmaprank/clickies/pointgragh. I have tried restarting after each down load aswell. some insight would be great

Yeah - this can be annoying - try adjusting your Map Settings by a pixel or so.

This is a "per Map" setting - so you will have to adjust this for every map.

Bob seems to be hanging up in the new map Wales. It stops at 'Creating Statistics Table', and doesn't go any further.

Same problem for me. But not with prismsaber. Mine hangs and it states "creating statistics table". I go back to My Games, turn off BOB, go back to the game but each move I make (deploy 1 man, attack 1 terr, etc) and I have to refresh in order to move and that's with BOB turned off. Help? Please?

You probably need to turn Clicky maps off too.

I got this the other day - I think it must be one specific territory that causes it once captured - as it didn't happen at the start of the game...

This leads me to believe that it is one of the neutral "town" territories.

Bob on Conquerman has memory leaks. Could be to do with the Conquerman XML

Firefox normally runs for me at about 70-100k memory usage. When I go into a Conquerman game memory usgae for FF shoots up to 300k+, compy slows right down, and even if I navigate to another screen like my inbox, the forums, whatever, memory usage keeps going up. I'm currently at 436080K usage while typing this message.

Probably GM that has the memory leak - not BOB...

Happened again in this Game 4496634. As soon as I eliminated Tracer, the interface locked up. When I reloaded the page, I got the 'Creating Statistics Table' error. I shut off Bob to continue. As you can see, at the time the only neutral territ I owned was Flint. The other territs I owned were: llyn, tegeinal, ial, meirionnydd, madog, and (it happened as soon as I took) rhufoniog.

Thanks for the info...

I'll try and get round to debugging it sometime shortly.

I just joined a bunch of games, so I just noticed this. The Fog of War column on the "Awaiting Players" page does not list the fog setting (at least on no fog games). Also the time left is listed as Today @ NaN:NaN am.

Not sure that's my fault?!

This might be caused by recent - er - changes - to the site.

It stopped doing both of these when I turned off BOB.

EDIT: It is not doing it any more.

Only "town" territ I've conquered is "Hereford", but IIRC I got this problem on the turn before that. Had no issues on the first round though. This seems strange. :?:
