Actually, if you look carefully, you can see they're displaced to the left, in the Indian Ocean and India itself...

neither Micronesia nor Melanesia are totally correct. (the purpose of redrawing was to make the decision of calling the territory OC2 (Melanesia) a valid one)
New Guinea, however, is closer to being correct than either of those options so OC2 shall be called OC2 (New Guinea)
Gimil, mentioned previously, please fix Artic to Arctic
EDIT: Could you also place your stamp abbreviations in your thread title and copy of the stamps on the front page so we know where this is up to, thanks

I hope there was a good reason why they took away the browse feature for the map inspect tool. Anyway, if someone could host the XML and post up the small and large XML images, I'd be very appreciative.
Thanks to gimil for doing the graphics, jota for the map assist, widowmakers for the excel xml builder, and mr. benn for the 88 pointer. All this made the XML a very easy job (relative to past experiences).
Graphically it looks like a jig saw puzzle. I think that it seems fine in my opinion it is just not the best looker of the bunch but it is not ugly. Give the legend and title some color. Maybe add some symbols to the legend instead of saying arrows show an arrow. Make Mediterranean Sea the color of the sea on the map. Great Map! Can't wait to play it
I think the lines on the med on the small are clear enough. I don't see how it could made more clear and if it was done how it'd be a huge benefit. We have the text on the legend so there's both visual and direct explanation as to what MS is all about. The visual cue might be more subtle but it is there.
The Med is the same colour, sailor
And, adding an arrow to the legend isn't really going to do much. At this point, it's the equivalent of busy work. How does it really benefit the map? Everyone knows what an arrow is. The text explaining what the arrows do could be considered excessive if you really think about it. If there's an arrow pointing to two connected places that insinuates that only arrows connect land to sea. But, because this is a game, it's best to make sure people won't make silly mistakes so we have text explaining the arrows and land-sea attacks.
Title/legend is a preference thing. Gimil and I think this look works for the simple map and anything else would make everything too busy. It fits in with the theme and style of the map as a whole.
My 2 cents for the community review before forge thing:
i've supported this map from the start. the only concern i have as of now is the wraparound. it is completely unnecessary in my opinion. just leave the map as it is in 2.1 or classic son
i personally like this map it is very well laid out and, the features and connections are explained clearly. I love the colours in the map they really bring this map to life. Well done and good job edbeard and gimil. This map thoroughly deserves to be moved to the Final Forge.

actually it's completely necessary. the map represents the world which is a globe. this means there's only one side and no "ends". It would be a huge error in logic to NOT have the ocean wrap around
in the white are where the title is, i think it should be a different color, i don't know, the white just detracts from the colorfulness of the rest of the map, i think i diff. color would be better suited
