IMO the TO makes the decision when the tourney starts. Its nice and helpful to keep your players informed if there is going to be a delay of more than a day or two (which you've clearly done here) but we're all volunteers here, its got to fit into your schedule.

I also think giving the new maps a couple of days to shake out a bit is a wise thing, especially when the entire tournament is played on new maps as this one is.

2 THINGS


1. I agree with you, I do think it is up to the TO (ME) in this case of when this starts, but Gilligan said he would not give me powers to create these games for few days, so, I had to compromise with him, I didn't want to DELAY, but seemed I had to a little I guess, so to be fair, wanted all to know the reason why.

2. Note: there is 7 games played every round and all teams must join all 7 games, 6 are new USA maps, 1 is the old original USA map. so, 6 of the 7 are new for this tourney, just to clarify.

as for all 7 at once how about staggering them say sending out 3 then 4 a few days later

I may or may not make all 7 at once, but all 7 games will need to be played, regardless if you are up 4 games to none or not, unless both teams agree, then I guess you dont have too.


I like doing them all at once usually and extended it 48 hours to join instead of 24 hours to give people more time so they dont have to forfeit. This is for serious CC'ers


I cant stand when many join a tourney and then do not join the games or take forever to do so, I dont allow that and i just kick them right out.

(DEDICATION to the NEW MAPS of USA comes the "Masters @ USA" Tourney)

Welcome to the QUAD tournament hosted by the one and only Blitzaholic!

ALL Premium PLAYERS ARE WELCOME

Format:
The tournament will feature 8 Quad teams who will face off in a single elimination bracket. All games in the tournament will be on the ALL 7 USA maps, the 6 new ones plus the original USA map, with the following settings: Sequential, Escalating, Chained, Sunny
All rounds will be best of 7 as all 7 maps will be played every round, and ALL 7 games played.

Sign Ups:
Signing up is very simple, all you have to do is post with your name and the name of your partner. I don't need any other information from you.

Games:
When we have all the teams needed I will set up the games and then send them to one team first, and the second team after the first team has joined to reduce confusion. You will have 48 hours to join your game before you risk forfeiting to the other team, and 1st reserve team replaces you. Teams will face each other in the order they signed up, 1 plays 2, 7 plays 8, etc.

NONE of these games have started or are being played GILLIGAN


however, there is another tourney going on with these same maps and people are playing in tournaments on these new maps, i can see them going on and being played, and the fact that you held me off til Sunday is BULLSHIT when other TO's let others start tourneys on these new maps and I have to wait.
