So it's only 11am and it's already hit 41 degrees Celcius (105.8 in the non-sensical Fahrenheit system)
That's after yesterday's 46C (114F) and 43C (109F) the day before... - and still another three 40 + degree days ahead!!
It was a pretty mild/cold Christmas/New Years (I was actually wearing a jumper on New Years, which is NOT cool) - but Summer has defintely come back and kicked our ass
My brother was in Montreal last month and it sounded crazy cold. I always will be amazed by the extreme temperature differences on the planet

imma amke this a farenheit vs celsius discussion
you really can't blame the Americans for the farenheit system, and other odd systems we have
in fact, it is Englands fault, since we got it from them.
they decided to switch later

About a week ago it was -17 Fahrenheit (-27.222 in the dumb ass Celcius system) here.

When I was in Kenya, I crossed the equator on foot. somewhere I have two photos of Mrs Curl, one where she's in summer and I'm taking the photo in winter, one where she's in winter and I'm taking the photo in summer.

us georgians ain't used to this kind of cold lol
GEORGIA! Your complaining about how cold it is in GEORGIA!
Yes, you don't have to drive with these people who have no clue that ice exists. We have to have signs warning them "Caution, Bridge may ice in winter".

Cold is the absence of thermal energy. Temperature is the increased speed of particles.
So yes, hot is up.
Incorrect! You would have to be at absolute zero (-273oC) to have a complete absense of thermal energy. And because energy is always present, that temperature cannot be reached.

Semantics. I didn't mean there was no thermal energy, only that the cold has less thermal energy than the warm.
Also, water is the most common thing on this planet we can think off that is easily recognisable. It freezes below 0 celsius and boils at 100 celsius, those temperatures are normal on this planet. Unlike the boiling and freezing points of oxygen.
"Some motherfuckers are always trying to ice skate uphill."
Duane: You know what they say about love and war. Tim: Yes, one involves a lot of physical and psychological pain, and the other one's war.

I'm not sure Oxygen even has a freezing point.
