I noticed this a little while back, but forgot to say something about it. When someone deadbeats out, the consecutive missed turns counter drops back to 1 instead of incrementing to 3.

I have to reload the page after pressing anything relating to the game (i.e. begin turn, advance, attack) if I open a new tab in FF while using BOB.

Actually - it goes to -1 which signifies a DB.

The strike through had been covering up the '-'. Thanks for the clarification.

How come BOB was hiding some of the Battle Royales two weeks ago?

It also randomly hides my title when it wants to.

Just curious...

On My Games, with the countdown until my turn expires... it reads:
    16hrs 20min 34sec
    Today @ 05:51 pm
As the time is displayed in 12hr clock, I was thinking the leading zero should be dropped... but only because it's 01:34 (1:34am), and I'm too tired to think straight ;-)

BOB really slows down the gameplay for me, 2sec delays for almost every input, is this normal?

Should not be my computer either, running firefox and I have 3 gigs of RAM

I use BOB on three computers. Recently on just one of them the numbers on the maps have been showing up as double numbers, one set slightly offset from the other set. Shifting one set to match the other almost clears the problem, but not quite. They remain slightly off center, creating a "blurry effect." How can I normalize the configuration on this one computer? Oh, turning off BOB corrects the problem, but than I don't have use of BOB.

I had this issue too - one day it just started happening on one computer with firefox I'm not sure why it happened but I will list detailed instructions below on how I corrected it.

Open up any map
click on Map Options
Click on the Map Align Left and Map Align top until the numbers line up exactly -- If you keep clicking eventually the numbers wrap from positive to negative just keep playing with it until it looks right.
Write down the numbers for left and top (for me this was Left = 1 and Top = 2)

BE CAREFUL HERE
Now, that fixes it for one map but you need that to be your new default so open up a new tab and go to about:config
type BOB.OPTIONS in the filter box and hit enter
find the greasemonkey.scriptvals.http://yeti_c.co.uk/conquerClub/Conquer Club - BOB.OPTIONS
right click and select modify - near the begining of the box you should see ".... MapLeft:0, MapTop:0, '24hourClockFo..."
Change the zeros next to the MapLeft and MapTop (AND NOTHING ELSE) to the numbers from above
Click OK

Closing and reopeing the tab for any game should make this take effect.

My computer with the problem is at work and this is Saturday. I'll try this fix and let you know how it turns out. It's a very frustrating inconvenience. Thanks for taking the time to provide such a thorough reply, Maj. Nugzz

This may or may not be an issue.

Game 4177980 and Game 4177981 are both quads games but BOB has them as 8 player doubles. This is not the same for my other Quads games which show as Quads.

The only reason i can think this may have happened is because the tournament these games are in is called "Doubles then Quads Challenge". Hence working from the top the first play style it gets is the word "doubles".

If it is just a problem for tournaments named "wrongly" then this isn't too much of an issue i guess, but if it is more serious then it may be.

Well, I tried and couldn't do it, because there's a part of your instructions I don't understand. I had already shifted the numbers 2 to the left and 4 up, but they still are not really clear, the way they are on my other computers and also on this one when I turn BOB off.

But the part of your instructions that loses me is where you say "open up a new tab." Where? What tab? And I don't know what a filter box is. Do you of any other name for it?

BOB in the Brittish Isles (2)

Postby Random Savage on Sat Feb 07, 2009 8:48 am

The BOB script for greasemonkey does not seem to want to load with the newer british isles map

Specifics: Could just be a bug with my own machine, and coincidentally the one I use at work, but I doubt it. Bob begins to load in the game and then never gets past "creating statistics table". I don't know, is this the right forum to post bugs about BOB?

New Update Available

Postby AlbroShlo on Sun Feb 08, 2009 10:26 am

Just tried to update to the newest version of BOB but where it normally reads downloading script in the bottom right it instead reads "Fetching user script" for too long and the page reads as being finished loading. I also get a pop-up that says,

userscripts.org:443 uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is only valid for the following names:
bookburro.org , www.bookburro.org

(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)

No internet problems and no PC adequacy issues.

Thanks again for bringing BOB to the world, don't know where I'd be without it =D>

Do you mean BOB or Map Rank?

That is exactly the error you will get if you install Map Rank at the moment from the left menu so you need to click on the link in the Map Rank thread.

There's a bug in the auto bob code - leave it on.
