Yeah 'whiskey25' the USA is far better in terms of air safety than Canada as long as you don't consider your aircraft maintanace and flight training requirments are lower.
If if makes you feel better Air Canada sucks just not as bad as your airlines. I would rather drive then take another United flight but if you like them why worry about what I think?
North Americans are stuck for decent flying experience until we get to another part of the world. Worst part is if I book with a decent one I will likely find out I'm on one "operated by" one that sucks when I get to the gate.
If we are talking about last century I may conceed.
I'm 6'1" so squeezing into those half seats after having to deal with the check in staff that are planing to break my luggage and further request I sign a paper saying it's ok after I rode several far better (from my point of view) carriers to them and second worst Air Canada may have skewed my opinion. Yes Air "Much better than you because they provide service, are polite, had free drink service and two bags no damadge waiver allowence" France was one of the ones that treated us well and did not break anything. Too bad I was in danger during the flight I guess.
I have eaten food on airplanes that I would intentionally order and happily pay for. It was not in the western hemisphere.
In conclusion enjoy your flight.
